Recieved my order! and not that V4L was slow, I just had to wait because of the holiday on monday LOL.

So far in the 30 some hours since I recieved I have had 3 analogs, not too bad :)

I asked for whatever resembeled Marlboro and got Cowboy. Not bad. Recieved an extra box of carts in cowboy and another of the tobacco sampler. i have only tried the parliment and its not for me, LOL.

I ordered the berry sampler and have loved everything I have tried so far! Blueberry rocks!!

I dont seem to get a lot of taste out of the carts (except parliment for some reason) but I think thats 20 years of smoking damage to the buds. I seem to be having a prob with one battery, but an email sent was replied to very quickly, so I am very happy not only with my order but the customer service so far has been awesome :D Freebies were very much appreciated, seems there was some thought behind them, so considerate!!

On a side note, I seem to get dry mouth very quickly. Am I alone in this? I am in the middle of placing another order (so much to try out!!) and am going to order the VG and see if that holds more taste for me and less of the dry mouth.

So so far, so good!! Thanks to all for the recommendations and to V4L for taking such good care of me

heres hoping the VK can help me dump the analogs for good!!

congrats!! You will want to keep some water near by and hydrate often. The nic. in the carts will give you dry mouth. Keep up the good work on the analogs and give vaping a little more time. Your taste will change over the next several weeks and you will find some of the flavors more to your liking. Good luck and happy vaping!!!

Welcome MoonMedic. You'll find that as you continue to vape and not smoke cigarettes that the tastes become much more prevalent in the carts. When you first start your mouth is still used to those funky analogs and you simply can't taste as well as you normally would. I know that when I first started I was head over heels for Coffee and Banana because I seemed to be able to taste them much more than any other flavors, whereas now that I have my taste back I'm back to the tobacco flavored carts.

Cheers to quitting that nasty little habit and being able to taste things again.

Aren't the berry flavors fantastic? I'm a total fruit flavor junkie.

I get more dry mouth with vaping as well. I had a lot more in the beginning of vaping then I do now, though.

Drink lots of water in the beginning. You need to flush the toxins from analogs out of your system. The switch of clean vape over smoke is probably kinda shocking to your mouth.

I think the dry mouth I still get is just the vape in general drying your mouth because you're basically blowing on your tongue with it. It's worth it, IMO

Hello everyone! I'm completely brand-spanking, deer-in-the-headlights, overwhelmed-but-excited new here. I'm posting this here because I'm not allowed to start a thread, and this one seemed most appropriate.

I had a buddy of mine over several nights ago, and he brought his new toy (turns out it's a 510 variant he got at the mall). He let me try it, and I'm hooked. I'm so excited at the prospect of at least significantly cutting down on analogs. I did some google-fu, and though I really know nothing yet, I did see that V4L seems to have by far the best reputation around, and their VK looks to be the best introduction to the vaping world.

I still have LOTS of questions, but trying to learn. I placed an order yesterday and hope to get it by tomorrow, but I'm starting out with a manual ultimate ultimatum kit, plus an auto battery (wanted to try both) and a wiiiiidddde selection of cartos (10 5 packs!) Mark suggested that I start with 18mg (I smoke 1 pk/day of Kamel Red Lights), so that's what I went with, but I did also get a sampler pack of 24 in case I get a really strong craving.

Anyway, I just thought I'd introduce myself, and say that I look forward to being an active part of this wonderful community.

I didn't know about the dry mouth thing, I'll be sure and have water on hand! Any other advice for a complete newbie?

Hey all. I placed by order for the Ultimate Super-Sweet Supreme Ultimatum Penultimate kit (I think that's what it was called)... Anyway, I should have "the kit" today or tomorrow, and looking forward to it.

I originally started vaping with a Green Smoke kit and used that for a couple of months, but the experience was... lacking. Some of it was my nubishness, but after reading through these forums, which I wish I would have come across before ordering the GS kit, it sounds like there's simply a problem with their cartos.

Just a quick question about the V4L Vapor King cartos -- What are some best practice tips using the Vapor King carts?

Specifically:

1. The GS carts were inconsistent. Some would taste OK for 200 drags(?), some for only 30 - 40. Then they would get "burnt". Any tips on getting consistency, or is this just expected with a pre-filled cart?

2. I've seen posts on "rotating carts". Is this typical, or is it OK to attach a single cart to a USB-PT (or battery) and vape on that single one until it is time to change it?

3. What the H is "chain-vaping"? Typically (with the GS) I'll take 10 drags(?) and put it down for 45 - 60 minutes, then vape for another 10. Is this common? I've seen the videos on the "preferred drag times"... slow and long, and plan to mimic this style with this new kit.

Any other recommendations on getting good performance out of the V4L Vapor King cartos?

(I apologize if this is already covered in another thread, there are over 100 pages of topics, and I couldn't find anything similar. Also, I'm unsure about the thread-hyjacking etiquette, so if I've done something BAD, please let me know.)

Just got my kit (with more than I bargained for), Hooray!!

First off, a big thank you to the guys at V4L --

Second -- The Vapor King is a completely different experience than that other 2-piece that I had. I can't even refer to it by name anymore. The Vapor King is awesome. The throat-hit is insane (I think I went too strong with the 24mg) and the flavor is unbelievable. Are they all this intense!?

I got a 5-pack of the Parlament 24mg. The flavor is close to that of the analogs, except for the cigarette smoke aftertaste, which I will not miss. Next time I think I'll try a couple sampler packs at a lower strength.

Thanks again V4L. I really appreciate the new kit. Also, thanks to the forum contributors for steering me in the right direction and helping me to choose the V4L Vapor King.

Welcome jazzguy and Mactrik!! You can start new posts here in this subforum and it is easier to get your questions answered on a new post. But I'll give it a shot!

Jazzguy you will learn TONS of information right here in the V4L subforum, start reading and you will be an expert in no time.

Mactrick I've found pretty good consistency with my prefilled cartos but this is mass production so there is always room for some error, so far all mine have vaped perfectly. I don't buy alot of prefilled carto's though, I am a refilling fanatic.

Rotating cartos is not needed unless you tend to vape hard and overheat them, then it's a good idea to have one more going so you can switch out. It will keep you from burning the cartomizer. Some of our crazy family keep a dozen or more going! I keep two, one on my PT and one on my xl battery. Chain vaping is the same as chain smoking, it's really heavy continuous vaping. Often times something one does when reading forums, gaming or watching movies!

To you both, give it time to find your "it" flavors and nicotine level then you will be in vaping heaven with the rest of us!

Hi Taryn! Thanks for the reply.

I just found this site last night, and already see that it's a wealth of information! I have ants in my pants awaiting my shipment (which should be here tomorrow, I sprung for express shipping) so I'll be reading and absorbing as much as possible. I have read the VFL guide (fantastic) and your very long thread about the 'spin trick' so far. I didn't order any juice yet, because honestly I was a little daunted by the prospect of refilling, but after some reading, it looks like it's not that big a deal and worth it for the savings. My next order will probably include some juice to try that out.

Wait, how crazy am I? I haven't received my first shipment yet, and I have a shopping cart already going for my next order already! There are a few other flavors I want to try now that I didn't include!!!

Well, I'm about to go buy what I hope will be my last pack of analogs. I love the act of smoking, and the nic buzz. But I hate the smoke itself. The smell, the aftertaste, the ever increasing social stigma, the hassle of finding a place in extreme weather, etc etc. Honestly, this all sounds too good to be true. If it turns out to be half of what you guys are portraying it to be, I'll be a very happy guy!

Oh, by the way, I tried to start a thread here, but it wouldn't let me. Maybe I'm doing something wrong....

Anyway, thank you again!
