Hi,

First, i would like to thank all those who helped my in my previous threads regarding which E-Cig to buy.

I've ordered an Ego-C from a recommended Chinese supplier a month ago and it has finally arrived 2 days ago. it was very hard for me to wait so long, the Chinese postal service was unbelievably slow and its tracking is simply the most horrible I've ever experienced. if i'd known it would take so long i'd pay a few extra bucks for EMS.

I've opened the box and was happy to find i received the requested e-liquid samples i've requested in two refillable tanks and that the batteries are not like the ones in the picture but look more modern and have a light meter to show the power level and also have various voltage. i've screwed the battery, plugged the tank and begun vaping instantly. all was great and the E-Cig was working fine although its not an original Ovale.

After enjoying the sample tanks i've encountered some difficulties with operating the E-cig.

  • After refilling, the e-cig will sometimes not vape. the lights go on but no vape is coming out. especially if i filled it to a level that is close to the cap
  • The instructions say to rinse and dry the atomizer and i thought it will improve and regain performance but after doing so, it produced no vape at all and it took quite a few minutes to revape again.
  • it seems that sometimes it vapes and the TH is better and sometimes it's weak. meaning, i must inhale much longer to produce the amount of vape i had in previous times.
I must be doing something wrong or misusing it but i don't know where to begin :-( I'll greatly appreciate your help on this.

Here's an idea:

Get some cartomisers.

The eGo tank system is not very "new vaper" friendly.

You want easy? You want lots of capacity? You want it to hit like a truck?

eGo Dual Coil Cartomizer - Penny 's Store

With your geography, you might want to look for a vendor a little closer to home, but you get the idea.

If you clean an atty or run water thru it you need to make sure it's completely dry. Most people leave them overnight.

Are you sure the kit you ordered is the eGo-C? Bc the battery you got is def not a genuine eGo-C battery. It really doesn't matter as some knockoffs work well, but not all.

As for making it work better I can't help you there bc I strongly dislike the eGo tanks, and find a good carto to be alot better, but that's just me. Someone should be able to give you some advice on getting it to perform better

Goodluck!

agreed, tanks with a atty are a waste of time

Out of the box, with the e liquid samples it worked great. after a couple of refills i felt it was not as good as the first times.
i'll be happy if it will work like it did just a couple of days ago.

i don't think the problem is in the atomizer, i was happy with it's performance as it is. it's just that i feel i'm doing something wrong or missing something and i don't know where to begin. :(

if you were doing the same thing from the begining and started to act up i dont think your doing anything wrong because it started acting up before you cleaned it. i chalk that up to poor performance in a the ego-t category. very common among ego-t's. inlcuding mine.

...the problem with these type of unit is with the entire atomizer/tank setup...that is why several folks have recommended you get some cartomizers...I recommend you do the same...if you get XL cartos from Smoktech or Boge, they will hold at least as much juice as the tanks and be much more consistent...oh yeah, get the the low resistance ones(1.7-2.2ohms)...it's the best thing you can do to improve your vaping experience.......

p.s. just wait till your tanks start leaking...especially this summer..................mj

Oh, so i should expect the tank i'm currently using to leak when it gets warmer.. I was wondering why there are 5 tanks in the original box.

BTW, I have gave a smoking friend of mine {light smoker} the e-cig for a few drags to try and he have claimed he feels the taste and TH very well.

I guess what i'm experiencing is just related to my own taste and feel.
I have refilled the tank yesterday with some anonymous e-liquid i bought from DX a while ago and it tasted and vaped so much better than the Wensten flavor Dekang i bought from Health Cabin.

I strangely find that vaping the Dekang makes my tongue feel strange, i guess i shouldgive it some time as i just begun this journey in the world of vaping.

Hi platinum70,

I've been vaping on eGO-C for over a month. I use about 2 to 5ml of ejuice a day.

When I change tanks,I press the tank in from the bottom; I hold the tank open end up and fit the battery/atomizer on top, then press/snap the last 1/8". Turn the PV tip up and watch the tank. Then I tap the atomizer with a couple flicks of a finger. If you see a large bubble followed by trail of small bubbles all is good. I flick a few more times until the small bubbles stop. I then press the button and listen to the atty - - if is sounds like water running, I try few puffs to see vapor.

If it sounds like fry bacon, it is probably flooded.

To clear a flooded atty, pull the tank, unscrew the battery, put the battery end of the atty assembly on to a tissue and blow hard thought the tank end. Mop up both end with a tissue or cotton swab and try again.

If there is no sound, lease the button immediately. ( I won't risk a dry burn)

With the battery off, take a light draw the vacuum prime the wick. Listen again. Pulling the tank off and pressing it back on can prime the tank by forcing air into it. I don't like do to this because the spike wears on the cap and can cause a seep.:2c:

I can change a tank out in lass than a minute with this method. I hope it helps. I love my eGo-C.

Happy Vaping,
Flick1971

p.s. this is my first post and I wish to thank all of the contributors that helped me during my lurking phase.

this is exactly why you don't want to use tanks. Who has time to spend doing this? lol this absolutely ridiculous.
Don't forget to clap 10 times while your chanting " work tank, work tank "and say the juice god prayer...

that's probably because the Dekang was 100% PG -- which can be irritating and drying -- whereas, your anonymous liquid most likely contained 20% or more of VG -- which makes the vape much less harsh, and gives tons more vapor.

Thanks Shizzle,
i'm so totally new to this, i had no idea about the differences between PG and VG performance wise :-(
I went to check at the Health Cabin e-liquid page for the bottles i bought and it says: 50ml e-juice/e-liquid(80%PG+20%VG).

Can this explain what i'm experiencing (irritating and drying + less vapor)?

some people are more sensitive to the irritating/drying effects of PG and can't handle it in high percentages...and some can't handle it at all, and vape only VG (yet, vaping 100% VG can cause problems with some equipment). however, 20% VG should give you decent vapor...then again, if your other eliquid was a higher VG percentage, that is most likely why you've noticed a difference.
