Finally! No smokes for 8 days now!

Hi all,

I smoked from the time I was a young teen and I turn 52 next month. I now have 8 days without a smoke! I never thought I could ever do this and I am so pumped. Easy? Not so much. Worth it? Hellz yes. If I have any advice to give I would advise to get a really top shelf pv and great juice. I researched on this site and the wonderful folks here led me to the Reo Grande. Fantastic pv. Set it up in the morning and you are good for all day. No messing around, just vaping. And I found Backwoods Brew for the juice. Great! Seriously great. I thank all who posted before me.

I will be forever grateful to the folks here on the site and the company that advertised on the radio that got me interested in e-cigs in the first place. Now their product is not so great. In fact it is kinda lame, but without their ads I would be smoking today instead of writing this post encouraging others to go for it. You can do it!

Take care all!

-Steve

The hardest part of quitting is NOT buying a pack when you got to the gas station, if you can get yourself past buying that first pack you're golden. Glad to hear it's working for you, but don't give up, it's been months for me, and while I would still love to have a cigarette, I know I don't need to, and that makes all the difference in the world!

I totally hear you on this but I am a strange creature. I feel better with a pack of smokes and a lighter on me at all times. For some reason just knowing it is there takes stress off me. In fact today I forgot to bring any with me to work and someone asked for a smoke and I realized I left them at home and I kinda had a moment there. Relieved that I did not have them and at the same time somewhat panicked that I was without. Like I said, a bit weird... But hey, whatever works is exactly what anyone should do, right?

Congratulations! And it is great that you have found your favorite flavors! Many vapers are still in search for that!

Thank you so much and I am vaping a wonderful flavor now. It is BWB Applewood Tobacco with a few drops of BWB Malty Toffee mixed in. So amazing and tasty you just have to at least consider trying it.

Hey there Steve similar here with starting at young age and all. You may have some ups and downs but hang in there for 8 days will soon be 8 months like my journey.
Best to you and take your pv and a spare battery when out an about !

Thank you so much! I am not ashamed to tell you it is hard to type because the tears make it hard to see... I always take an extra 18650 with me just in case. Plus, vaping on a fresh battery is so nice.

Wonderful news Steve. Great for you! As your body does funny things to you while detoxifying, stay the course. LOL, there are many things that happen, including sense of smell...which is pretty amazing considering how you may smell things to bring memories back to when you were 9 years old :)

Welcome to ECF and continue to share your story. We ALL can relate and we ALL are pulling for you! Congrats and keep up the great work!

You are so right about this and I would say the mind also does some pretty "funny" things during detoxing. I have been taking B-12 vitamins that do seem to help with some of the symptoms. Still smoke free and loving the vape! I am so loving the BWB Applewood Tobacco mixing with a hint of Matly Taffy also from BWB.

And I have to say that I am so pleased I did enough research to find out about Reo mods. I love my Reo Grand.
