I'm a mostly satisfied vaper approaching my 3 year anniversary of being smoke free. I went thru the usual searching in my 1st 6 months of vaping, and found my perfect device and even an all day flavor, which I'm still happy with. I use a (non-vv) Reo Grand and Bauway 510lr attys. While I enjoy the vapor must of the time, I'm finding myself increasingly dissatisfied with the consistency of my attys. Last year I bought 20 of these attys and I'm almost out- I have given up on trying to clean and reuse them. Last week I stopped at a b&m that recently opened in my area to buy a few attys, and they didn't have anything like these. Apparently the technology has passed me by. The point of this post is to ask for recommendations about what would be a logical upgrade, both economically and quality-wise. I don't want to start dropping a bunch of money experimenting or deal with any extra fiddle-factor. I just want a consistent vape at a good price. And less surprise juice in my mouth or suddenly dead attys. Thanks in advance for any help!

I get a very consistent vape from Protanks that I've rebuilt with cotton. Also I just got a Russian, and while it is much more expensive than a Protank, and too early for me to give it a full thumbs up...the short time I've used it the flavor has been more pronounced than the Protanks (which had plenty of flavor too). Great build quality! I don't see myself needing another atty for a long, long time! :vapor:

I'd say go for the RM2 as well. I bought my Reo Grand with an RM2 originally. You get the best of all worlds - easy to rebuild with silica, cotton, ekowool - whatever your wick of choice is, similar flavour to dripping - immense, very durable topper - should last a long time, easy to maintain - just take it apart and give it a quick clean.

I have drilled out the airhole a little on mine for extra vapour, but I do like a more airy vape. I can take it apart, clean it and rebuild with a cotton micro-coil in about 15 minutes total :D

Thanks for responding. I guess my definition of fiddle-factor is a bit different, or maybe I'm just so behind I don't know, but when I see the words "rebuild" and "clean", I don't have the first clue how to do that on those things I've never used, and after a year of everything from jewelry cleaners to vodka to rubbing alcohol, I have no desire to go back to any of that. Is there anything easier? Or should I just give in and learn to rebuild attys?

I'd say just give in and go the rebuildable route, but that's just me - I've always loved taking things apart and rebuilding them. But if you want a screw on and forget atty, I'd also recommend the AMG slant coil attys from Vapage.com. Pretty expensive, but mine last up to 3 months in my bottom fed Vmods and I use them all day at work. Here's a link if you want to have a look :

AMG Hybrid Atomizer Bottom Feeder (2-pack) - VMOD / XL - PREMIER

But rebuilding an RM2 really is easy, plenty of how to vids out there.
