Everyone Loves Their 510 But Me. Are 510 Atomizers Dependent On Supplier?

So it is a humidifier?
it keeps things moist?

if its a cool dark environment in there, wont things go mouldy?

I have a camera dry box that keeps everything at 30% humidity, and ambient humidity where i'm from is between 70-95%. what's ideal for storing, and is it just the attys you store in there? thanks

Yes it keeps tobacco from drying out. And if you put a few drops of PG on an atty to store like I do, it would keep it moist. The camera dry box would be better than nothing - you could add a desiccant too.

I don't actually use one. Scott does, I'm guessing. I put three drops of unflavored PG and store in a Lock and Lock that has a silicon seal:

Going on 4 months using the Joye 510 atomizers. I rotate three of them. One in use, one drying out, one dry and ready for a change-out. I never store them moist.

Other than draw and differing coil resistance, all vape about the same. One gets cherry red when I do a dry (and I do mean DRY) burn and has an easy draw. Two get dull red and have a harder draw.

I was worried WRT the many posts about atomizers dying, so bought a bunch when I started. Most sit in their wrappers, waiting for their siblings to die so they can claim their inheritance.

In my experience, poor vapor production is the result of flooding. *Reduced* vapor production is the result of starving. Burnt vapor is the result of extreme starving.

The difference between poor and reduced? Poor vapor has lots of flavor but little aerosol. Reduced vapor has "normal" flavor and little aerosol. Burnt is just plain burnt.

I like ease of a 2 to 3 drips on atty lots after removing the filler. Very easy and not messy. Last as long as a 510 that way -without topping off ( for me at any rate). Taste better too and less e-juice wasted

I agree.... this works for me too....

is it a bad thing if the cartridge or atty dries out? can we not merely drip a few drops of eliquid when we finally remove it from storage?

When the atty is dry, oxidation (rust) occurs and can damage the coil or the solder points. It it why the manufacturer uses the primer/shipping fluid. No problem with carts drying other than the loss of juice.

thanks for the reply. so thats why some pple store the unused attys in a dry box...to prevent rust. cool, thanks!
