The upgraded contacts really only help you out if you vape a 0.7ohm and lower coil. It really is not necessary if you vape around .8 + coils. You have to figure that a .8ohm coil is 22watts on a fresh batt. Like others have said, I wouldn't wait for the contact kit unless you just can't live with out a 0.5ohm coil (35watts). The contact kit is designed to be user installed and looks to be simple enough to install on your own, no need to be "factory" installed. I would recommend getting the contact kit, but it is just not a requirement to get a great vape from a REO.

Since you have other rba's I would get the Low Profile REO, with that I would recommend also the UNmilled RM2, however that is purely for aesthetics. Trust us when we say: Once you squonk you never want to go back to manual dripping. Thats why there are so many threads on here where people are modifying their rda's to be Bottom Feeders.

I came from VV/VW devices too and was nervous about unregulated mech's quality over time the same as you. It really isnt that bad at all, the difference is not as pronounced as you are worried about. These batts last a LONG time. Personally I get 10hrs of amazing vape out of a charge. It's noticeable enough that you know when to change your batts but you still will get good flavor and vape when the batt is at 3.7 (with a .8ohm coil a 4.2V = 22watts , and 3.7V = 19.5watts). I just get into a habit of swapping a batt in the morning before work, then swapping again at 6 or 7pm for the evening.
