When I got my first ecig I jumped in straight away and lasted 3-4 months. I fell off over Xmas and its been on and off since, I can't seem to commit fully and I really want to. I prefer vaping, everything is better about vaping which is why I am baffled that I keep slipping especially for something I really dislike. Any advice guys?

Get a PV that will deliver more vapor and throat hit like a variable voltage PV and up your nic level. Also you might want to try something like the Phoenix rebuildable atomizer...it will hold about the same amount of juice as a standard carto and will taste 500% better with alot more throat hit and vapor production. It only costs about 15 bucks and will last forever saving you tons of money because you won't have to buy cartos/attys anymore just wick and wire which hardly costs anything.

This may sound harsh and callous and I may get flamed, but you need to rethink your committment and reflect on if you are really and truly ready to quit the cigs. My wife is in the same situation and she keeps blaming this or that for her failures, when in reality she just keeps lighting up and doesn't know why. If I had the answer I would share it with both of you.

I am in the same place right now. I have been camping for 2 weeks and sometimes I'm fine while other times I am craving a real cig like I haven't smoked in 2 weeks. My solution I just don't buy them, every once in a while I do bum one but I smoked 1 1/2 pad before. I haven't smoked a packs worth in these two weeks and now they taste worse and worse every time j light up. Just stick with it and think about all the money saved

my wife says gradually cutting back on cigs over time helped her a lot. she used to chain smoke in the car, and quit doing that while still smoking at home and other places. then she quit smoking after eating, and then her morning cig (that was unpleasant), and so on. even tho she has only been completely smoke free for 1.5 months, she hasn't smoked in a car in 8 months. she still craves cigs, and struggles some days, but says she almost never thinks about smoking while in the car. she smoke 1-2ppd for 20 years. the gradual cutback was advised by her doctor.

good luck and keep trying!

I have the same problem... I don't buy cigs, but my partner and I just went camping, and we bought a pack to share. We kicked the pack with a night left out in the woods. Luckily I had filled a carto with a new flavor... vanilla coffee... and let me tell you, the coffee flavor did it for me. It had that slightly harsh flavor and throat hit that I've been missing. Now every morning I vape a coffee flavor and it really takes the edge off. I also order my coffee flavors at a higher nic level than my other flavors.

I did the same thing. I smoked for 25 plus years and then stated vaping. I quit vaping and started dipping which is what I did in high school and when hunting. I am 44 and my gums need a break! I went back to vaping. One thing that helps me is having a tank unit. I don't have all the hassle of refilling carts. When I frist started vaping I thought all of that was neat, but now I prefer it to be as hassle free as possible. These days I am loving it!!

I'm a little like hubblybubbly's wife.
I just wanted to go from 2 1/2 pad to 1 pad because of money.
so when I wanted a cig, I would vape a while. If I still wanted the cig, then I had it, guilt free. without really trying or struggling, within 2 weeks I was down to about 10-15 cigs a day, already exceeding my original goal. I actually still smoke 2 cigs a day, before bed, because I'm old and I want to. but I have missed days or only smoked one to my surprise :) for me, no pressure was the key I think

ps, for the hard ones like the AM cig, I made myself wait 15 min. the first day, 30 the next and so on until soon it was 1 in the afternoon before I had that first cig.
