Finding out how long (dripping with a) new cart lasts (PT)

hueysds, i definitely didn't invent dripping on the PT--i picked up the idea from another thread on here, though it took me a while to implement it myself. i work at home too, as a freelancer, and now that i've found some flavors/blends i love it really does work well for me. i'd hate to have to drip while out and about, but while tied to the comp it's nice to have a perfect 5V vape every time. and i expect it'll reaaaaallly stretch my vaping budget. which is good, cause yanno... i wanna afford every new goodie that comes out.

I'm going to take a condum, cut it in half-ish. Poke a hole in the top (like in the pic). I get that part.

Now, I'm going to pop off the white cap on the top of the carto, take out the little silicone ring thingy, put the bottom half-ish condum on the carto, them put the top half with the hole?

And what is this going to do for me?

I am not being snarky. I know it's hard to read people based on what they type, but I am also a visual person, and those visualizations just aren't doing it for me, and I don't quite understand why I want to do it.

Also, the white tip cap I removed from the carto, I keep that off???

If you do this, then you can refill/top off the carto without any hassle, by just dripping in drops from the top. I like doing this because I can see what is going on inside my cartos at any time, rather than having to pop the white thing and the o-ring out every time. Don't have to worry about vaping them dry because I'm too lazy to do all that popping, this way you just pull off the condom and can see the batting easily.

Yes, you leave off the white tip cap.

You dont have to cut the condom at all. Just punch a hole in it and put it back on and you are good to go. Belle cuts her condom in half so that she can remove it with one hand and fill with the other. Its a step that is not necessary but more of a personal preference thing.

You really only want to do this if your topping off or "dripping" with a cart. If your not then you probably just want to fill them like normal. But you can still use the condom for convenience and not having to pop the white cap and o-ring off every time.

right, i think that's covered. the only reason i cut it in half, like jebey said, is so i can pop the 'lid' off with my thumb more easily. my out-and-about carts--those i don't use to drip on the PT--i don't use the condom mod at all, i leave the o-ring/white cap on.

day 3 and cart is in tip top shape. kinda hitting its stride actually, good vape/flavor every time, and fully saturated without being gurgly or anything.

I seen or read somewhere about putting drops in the hole of the battery end. I have been doing this. Is this not a recommended thing to do with carto's? I can usually put 10 or so drops in that way.

Hi, I do that, too, justincase. But I only do it with my manual batteries because they are sealed on the top. The autos have a hole and the juice can drip into that hole and ruin your auto batteries or auto passthroughs.

When you drip the battery end the juice has to take the slow boat to get to the batting if at all. It's simply more efficient to drip directly on the filler.

hmm.

it's really hard to say, because i top off with different flavors as i'm trying to perfect a couple of diff mixes. so i've used at least 6 different bottles of juice to top off, just to switch up flavors. and i know i'm not consistent about topping off with the same amount at predictable intervals, so as far as how many times... i haven't the foggiest idea. i top off with anywhere from 3 to 10 drops, no more than 10 at once, though, cause i like to top off to keep the cart plenty wet.

i think i can safely say that i've vaped at least 2ml a day, and around 80% of that is dripping on the PT. so a conservative guesstimate would be 1.5ml per day on the PT, for four days, with day 5 starting today. that should be pretty consistent, because i worked through the weekend so i wasn't out and about using my batts that much.

aight, gonna wash this bad boy. no 'burned' taste or anything but taste has dropped off/gotten stale; thinking it's juice residue or some such. i'll wash it tonight, let it dry, refill it, let it set for a day and then i'll put it back on and we'll see how many cycles she lasts.
