My satin blue standard is 14 months old. It has taken a few spills when it has fallen from my lap getting out of the car onto the parking lot. For the most part it has stood up well. There are two very fine spots where the carokote finish is nicked if I look hard enough for them.

My satin black mini is 6 months old and it still looks like new. It gets carried in a front pants pocket on a daily basis.

My two powder-coated painted mechanical mods have noticeable scratches on them from similar use. My experience is the carokote is a tougher more durable finish than powder-coated paint.

My 8 month old satin silver got a small scratch on it a couple of days ago. It's the first one, and you have to look close to find it.

My 7 month old metallic bronze has a bit of wear around the teardrops. You have to look close to see it. However, I work in a factory and take the bronze with me every day. I get alot of chemicals on my hands, and even though I wash them alot, some linger. I am guessing that is what the wear is from. Also, it has no scratches on it.
