...

Who cares if uninformed people think you're a crackhead? They're obviously not very bright, so their opinion is largely irrelevant.

Because, Unfortunately, Uninformed people still have the Right to sign petitions calling for Uniformed elected officials to enact e-Cig bans.

So what? I'm addicted to coffee and vaping. Why is that anyone's business?

Wrong. That's not the reason why companies are banning vaping - they are banning it because they CAN.

Who cares if uninformed people think you're a crackhead? They're obviously not very bright, so their opinion is largely irrelevant.

BECAUSE THEY CAN is not a valid reason. Gimme a break.
That's a cop out and you know it. And if my reason isn't the real one, it will be soon enough. As long as people are twitching in a closet and vaping on camera in a place they're not supposed to. Give it time.
And YES, it makes you look like a fiend.
IT'S YOUR BOSSES' and the HOSPITAL'S BUSINESS to answer your question. It's their business as soon as you take money from them by using their time to go break the rules by vaping on their premises.
SHeesh what warped minds there are in this world is this seriously your argument? Because they can?
Move along kid

Quite a few uptight people in this discussion. If some of you climb any higher on your soap boxes your air will be lacking oxygen, but from reading some of these posts it appears my warning may have come to late.

To the OP, glad everything is alright for now.

Keep vaping in closets and you might run out of oxygen. One can only hope, eh? lol

I'm not trying to keep this thread going or argue with you. I like you! I'm not an 'out there' vapor myself. Yes, I vaped in a bathroom stall at the hospital. I was a mess but I'd probably do it again. I'm not gonna lie, I had a few vapes of my peach juice.

I think his first post did exactly that. His post was a wake-up call not to if there ever was one.

Do I think the responses and nasty remarks helped educate new people not to vape where they shouldn't? Do you?

I like you to SF…

And I respect your right to voice your opinion.

I personally just don’t like reading posts where people encourage stealth vaping or seem to condone it. And I would never sugar coat my views on something that could be as serious as someone loosing their job. The way was raised, Tough Love was preferred over the risk of hurting someone’s feelings.

I’ve said my peace and will bow out now. If my posts were perceived as “Nasty” then I apologize to any and all.

Here's a novel idea. Instead of arguing amongst ourselves, why don't we use that energy to educate the people "out there" who think vaping is smoking?

And while we're at it, how about we get rid of the words "e-cig" and "electronic cigarettes" - because nothing screams "SMOKING" louder than the word cigarette?

I'm an old lady who has made more than my fair share of mistakes - and will likely make many more before I'm cremated - but gee whiz. Use all that energy "out there" - educating the powers that be - so people don't have to stealth vape or be under bans that are meant for smoking tobacco products - cigarettes!!

And you actually think that being a polite, model vaping citizen is going to change the opinions of the bigoted and uninformed? Hahahahaha!!!

Do you want to buy a bridge?

BECAUSE THEY CAN is not a valid reason.

It's all the reason they need - or hadn't you noticed?

Gimme a break. That's a cop out and you know it.

I feel like we're in the Twilight Zone. Yes, they ban it because they CAN. They don't care if we don't like it. They don't need a reason - or science - or fact - to get in the way of the decision-making process. That is patently obvious.

And if my reason isn't the real one, it will be soon enough. As long as people are twitching in a closet and vaping on camera in a place they're not supposed to. Give it time.

Why shouldn't a person be allowed to twitch in a closet and/or vape on camera? Do you care if someone sees you slurping your cappuccino in a closet - or on camera?

And YES, it makes you look like a fiend.

So? Is that a problem for you?

IT'S YOUR BOSSES' and the HOSPITAL'S BUSINESS to answer your question.

I don't have a question.

It's their business as soon as you take money from them by using their time to go break the rules by vaping on their premises. SHeesh what warped minds there are in this world is this seriously your argument? Because they can?

Thanks for the nonsensical PC lecture. I'm still waiting for you to prove that there's another reason besides... they CAN. I'm also waiting for an explanation of how being a super-good girl or boy with delightful vaping manners will somehow result in employers joyfully embracing liberal vaping policies. It's the causation argument that I have a problem with because it's a fantasy.

Funny how my post was not directed at any one poster in particular, yet you sir (and I use that term very loosely in your case) feel the need to "attempt" to attack me with an unintelligent misguided threat. Perhaps you should continue thumping your bass and leave the discussion to the grown-ups.

Well, the whole thing is depressing. Not this thread, but the whole public perception of vaping.

On the one hand you don't want to be too out there that it offends people and they call for bans. On the other hand, I don't know if confining ourselves to smoking areas and treating the pv and vaping like we are smoking helps us either.

No way to sugarcoat it, as smokers we were pretty much outcasts. People wave the air and can't stand smokers. And there aren't that many left that they have to worry about us so they ban away. I don't know if people care all that much that we're vaping. Sometimes when I try to explain vaping I get a look of disbelief from people, like they don't believe it's true that it isn't harmful or there isn't second hand smoke. Or they just don't care.

I agree with you yagottawanna. Education is the key. Or it's our only shot. The more smokers we can get vaping, the better for us.

Not that I'm condoning it or think he shoud do this at all, and he should follow the rules, blah blah blah- But when you really think about it, what's the damn difference if this guy vapes in a closet? He's not going to set anything on fire, ruin any equipment, make anyone sick. It's frustrating.

Just want to say we all are done with high school or at least should be. I find it funny how some one worried about where they vape and if there going to get into trouble, turns you all into a bunch of school girls fighting about this or that. I say we all just vape save all the back and forth for congress. If your going to vape and can't use common sense then its you that should pay the price for what ever rules are being broken.

Really....if everyone that had ever broken a rule at work were terminated immediately....

Well...I don't think any of our greatest blue chip companies would be around...period.

Even Bill Gates and Steve Jobs would have been fired five times over in their early careers for ummm, 'naughty things' they did 'at work' on 'employer time'. Back then...if anyone really cared...they got warned, written up, maybe even 'fined' or something...but they kept them happy overall, and sent them back to doing what they do best.

Oh wait! Maybe those CEO's were fired a hundred times before they finally gave up and just did their own thing? Anyway............point is............companies are shooting themselves in the foot.

All the zero tolerance bull crap is knocking some of the best people out of the work force, and hurting the bottom line of the companies that have put them selves in these sorts of positions.

Sorry. Once someone bows out they can't share popcorn either.

But if you go to this thread you might find a bag or two of unopened Generic Cheese Puffs. There was a mix up and Br will only eat Cheetos Puffs.

BTW - Tell swedishfish to check it out also. I seem to recall her name being mentioned.

I didn't see that! You're so sweet, and a smarty pants too! I learn a lot from your posts.
