How long do i have to charge it for for the first time? is it 8 hours? reading on the packaging but it only says about normal time you have to charge for not to prime it etc;

If you have a cigarette form factor- it's probably a 180mah battery and should be charged in just over 1.5 hours.
Charge time can vary depending on the included charger...
You should not need to do an 8 hour charge. Just let it go until the light turns green on the charger, and most e-cig batteries come with an 80% charge from the factory.
