The manual says to charge the 510 batteries for eight hours then vape on it for 20 minutes then charge and additional hour. I understand the eight hour charge but what is the 20 min vape and additional hour for?

If you check the directions closely, you will also need to pat your head and rub your belly while you wait.

The batteries do take a while to come up to speed. Just make sure you leave it in overnight and there's your eight hours. And make sure you do the other one for 8 hours the next night. After a day or two it won't make any real difference. Besides, who can wait!

Back to school professor ;-)

Suggest battery university:

"Lithium-ion is a very clean system and does not need priming as nickel-based batteries do. The 1st charge is no different to the 5th or the 50th charge. Stickers instructing to charge the battery for 8 hours or more for the first time may be a leftover from the nickel battery days."
