So I got some kanthal fin a local B&M for my first rebuild, all they had was 28g, which is alright, did 8 wraps with a cotton wick, 1.3 ohm is what it ended up as and I'm loving it! Turned out successful and I'm happy with it. Using iTaste SVD in a mini protank 2, haven't gotten a regular sized yet as I just got into all this and had an eGo style battery before.

I was wondering what the difference between the two was, I will definitely have to get some 30g, mostly bc I left my 10ft coil of 28g out when I went the the bathroom and my dog decided to get it all tangled up and kinked, mostly ruined haha, she's like a ninja I tell ya, thanks for the info! And parrot head, it's not hard at all, just watch some vids on it and read up on different wrap estimates for each size wire and you'll be happy with your results! And test with a meter before you put it on your battery haha

Grats on the first coil! I just built my first one this week and am in love as well.

I noticed a massive flavor difference from the Protank 2 / eGo Mega vV2 that I was using. It was a bit pricey to get all the wick materials, mod, good batteries, good charger, multimeter, etc etc

But the satisfaction is unparalleled. A completely different vaping experience imho.

To those interested in building their own coils... Please use the wealth of information here on SAFETY and take your time. Its worth it.
