Hey everybody,

Been a vaper for over a year now and feel great about it. I love the smoke free lifestyle, the extra cash I have to spend on my children and also the taste of the vape.

I found ECF a few months back and read a couple of posts related to the VV batteries before upgrading from my original SV unit, but never got into changing things from the original setup I bought. I also looked around a few other topics too.

Well in the year plus I've been vaping, I have gone through about eight batteries because the casing would separate from the unit and the micro thin wires would either break at their soldier point.
I fixed the first few, but soon got tired of doing this and would just buy another battery.

The other day it happened again and I decided to change from the tube style to the box style. The place I was buying my stuff from did not have any box models in stock and told me it would take a week before they were restocked. Knowing I needed a fix before then I Googgled ecig shops in the area and found one a few blocks away. They had a couple of models in stock and I ended up selecting the Innokin I-Taste MVP 2.

I must say I am pleased overall with it, but am now looking into a different tank system as the two it comes with are dreadfully small and I find myself filling the darn things daily. My original system came from a company called VaporShark based out of Miami, Fl, and although they have good service and nice tasting liquids, the tube batteries just aren't built well enough for my active lifestyle.

In a couple of posts I read members were talking about fasttech for ordering parts. I checked them out and find their selection and price to be great when compared to the retail end of the business and think I'm going to be shopping there for my supplies, however not having been one to alter my original configuration I have concerns about buying the right parts for the unit I have.

The tank system I currently have is a VaporShark Glass and from what I can see, it looks exactly like the Kanger Protank II, but I can't be 100% sure.

I guess my questions are multi-fold in that I have the I-Taste2 battery but want to have a larger tank, made of glass that is dual bottom coil which has a large 2.5-3.5 capacity and fits the I-Taste 2. It also needs to have wicks which are readily available for purchase as I don't want to get into the custom mods just yet.

Yeah, I was pretty verbose about all this and apologize if any ones eyes began to bleed while reading my post, but thanks for taking the time to read it and help me out.

to ecf prysmatyk . So glad you are here. Sorry I am not qualified to help you with your question but I know someone will come along that knows and help you. That is what is so special about ecf. The people here are wonderful. Good luck to ya and happy vaping.

I'm the opposite. I prefer smaller tanks because I like to change my juice up

I do change from raspberry to grape and sometimes even add a drop or two of this candy cane menthol into the raspberry for that extra kick of sweetness. If I have two or three tanks, changing flavors is easy. . . Just need to wait until I figure out what tank to get that fits the box I have and has the specs I desire.

The MVP will take any head which is either 510-threaded or ego threaded.

Search on FT for "glassomizer" and you will find a pretty decent selection. They also sell spare coil assemblies, as well as bare, wicked coils. Usually the page showing the head will also have a link to the replacement coil.

Edit: Actually, just searching for "glass" and then selecting the e-cigarettes category (on the sidebar on the LHS) you will see a wider selection of glass heads.

Welcome to ECF.

Have you joined CASAA, yet?? It is our consumer group trying to protect vaping. The FDA is proposing legislation which will eliminate most vaping products other than cig-a-likes from BT.

All vapers need to ban together before it is too late. Just click on the link below this post. It is free to join and it will also provide you a wealth of information to counter the negative articles that are being generated every day.

Hi Prysmatyk.
Welcome to ECF.

I'd like to make a suggestion. I'm sure you're not ready yet, but start doing some research on Kayfun lite and Russian 91%. Fasttech sells some good clones of them for good prices. They are rebuildable tank atomizers. For info, look here on ECF and Youtube. Once you get the hang of rebuilding it is fast, easy, and waaaaay cheaper than buying heads.

Good luck:)

I've seen the Russian 91 and yeah it is way cheaper on FT than the B&M stores I've been into. It's not that I'm not ready for the rebuild-able ones as I've thought about it. I have twin toddlers and would rather spend my time playing with them than wrapping wire around fibers for my vaping pleasure. :D but definitely when they're older I'll be building my own rigs . . .For now I just wanted to find a quality BDC tank that fits the I-Taste 2. From what twgbonehead said about my thread system being a 510 and the stuff on FT I've seen, I am thinking about the Kanger PT2.
I figure if I get two of them I can rotate my flavors easily enough and if the glass on one breaks I'll have a spare without needing to go back to the minute tanks that came with the I-Taste 2.
I will say I like the battery on the I-Taste much better than the tube style vv batteries I had from vaporshark. It fits nicely in my hand, has a solid weight to it and provides more than enough life so I'm not worried about carrying around a spare battery. I bought the thing on Thursday, the same day my vs vv battery broke and I haven't charged it yet. (1393 on the puff counter)

Too bad I didn't find FT before buying it in the B&M though, could have saved 15 bucks to use at FT. Live and learn. . .

Welcome to the forum, I'm also a semi-experienced vaper but a newb to the forum. My suggestion would be the Aspire BDCs. I have a couple of them and my Vivi Nova is definitely one of my go-to tanks. It hits great, holds 3.5mL, and won't break the bank (though the replacement coil heads are not cheap, ~$2.75/pc), and it is possible to rebuild the coils if you have a steady hand and some patience (though I highly recommend acquiring a sonic cleaner and using it to clean your coil heads once a week - they'll last 5-10 times as long).

Just my quick $.02, hope it's useful to you.
