I got all my stuff in finally and just wanted to be able to say I made my own juice so I mixed 25ml of 12mg 50/50.

I'm using single bottom coil clearo tanks. What PG/VG ratio are you guys using for similar circumstances?

What power levels are you using with unflavored juice?

I imagine coils last longer with unflavored also. Is this the case?

Thanks for answering noob questions today.

PS: Does steeping even apply?

The coils do last longer because what typically kills coils is sweeteners in liquids clogging them up. 50/50 is a good starting point, and i used that for ages because it's simple to make/mix.

If you start to use juice that has a high VG content, then you may have wicking issues in tanks or clearo's, but at that point you'll soon know it because the wick will burn. You can always thin it out a bit with distilled water, but if 50/50 works fine - stick with it.

Steeping is not necessary - i only recommend bothering to steep tobacco flavours or such.

The power you use has much more to do with airflow and the wick you use rather than your liquid < that's my opinion, but i run rebuildabe drippers with a lot of air and RxW wick. Hope that helps a little.

I do the 50/50 also cause it's just easier. I vape lately @6W with a BogeSR carto- most I've gotten from a carto has been maybe 8W b4 burning.

I used to change a carto @ 3-4wks, but now weekly. Only 75 cents nowadays.

Not only does it make your coils last longer, you don't have to make your topper purchases based on flavor output.

    I've never steeped, seems unnecessary.

Yes, coils are going to have to be dry burned or cleaned no matter what you use but with unflavored I find they definitely last a lot longer. I also noticed my coils did better when I stopped using sweetener in my mixes but of course that is just my own observation and opinion. I am using 60/40 right now and may try 70/30 next. That's what is so awesome about making your own. You can experiment and find exactly what makes your own taste buds dance. Good luck to you and happy mixing.
