First DIY juice - issues

Hi all,

Sorry for the long post but it's best to give all the info.

I'm a simple being looking to reduce the costs of sub ohm vaping on a kangertech subtank @ 23-25 watts, 0.6 ohm coil 3.8v to 3.9v

I really like simple fruity and sweet flavours - Blueberry being a daily vape from a local vaping shop (3mg) or Paradise by Adam Bomb 6mg.

I thought it would be easy to make my own and would save me loads of cash, my first test did not go as planned.

I purchased this kit:

with two 10ml bottles of this flavouring (blueberry):

I watched some videos on youtube and installed ejuice me up and used the measurements below:

I've left the juice for a couple of days and it tastes really cheap and "nicotiney", when I open the neat bottle of nicotine it really stinks, can you buy better "tasteless" nicotine?

Any tips would be really helpful?

Hi djbuzz07.

The first thing I would suggest is to Take you Nicotine Base and mix a 10ml Batch of Unflavored in the PG:VG and Nicotine mg/ml level you normally use.

Then after a Very Good Shake, taste test it.

It shouldn't have much Taste. Perhaps a slightly Bitter or Peppery taste. But Not Unpleasant. If it is, then you need to find Better Tasting Nicotine Base.

If it Doesn't taste Bad, then I would Re-Mix your Blueberry Recipe but limit the Flavoring to 10%.

If - historical grudges aside - you don't have qualms dealing with the Irish , try them too :

Agreed with above - I'd go to Vapers Tek or Nude Nicotine for better nic base.
It should not stink. If it's in VG, it should vape very slightly sweet all by itself (diluted of course).

Also - 20% MAY be high on the single flavor. Depends on brand, but you may want to start with a lower amount - you can increase it more easily than making it more dilute - and if you add TOO MUCH flavor, it can overwhelm your taste buds, and you won't taste the flavor at ALL - which gets quite confusing!

Try making smaller batches so there is not that much waste if things don't turn out the way you want it.
