Well, the last of the supplies I needed got here today and I had at mixing some juice.

I gotta say, it turned out a lot better then I was expecting my first to turn out. I actually think i could vape it all day.

Was keeping it simple but also wanted to get a bit of sour patch kid flavor out of it.
I went with:
.5ml tfa blackberry
.1ml (10% solution) Malic Acid
.1ml (10% solution) Sucralose
9.3ml of my 30pg/70vg 15mg/ml base

It wasn't as sweet as I was looking for so added another .2ml of the sucralose solution. Seems good now, maybe .2ml total would be better. Might also try going up to .2ml on the MA on the next batch as well.

Anyway, thanks to all for all the great info that is here. I'm sure it had a great deal to do with me coming up with something that is vapable.

First day of DIY here as well! Made some little 5ml test batches that I "speed steeped" in a water bath

All mixes are at 12mg, 50/50 (was the easiest to make today, I plan to likely branch to a 65/35 mix later on)

  • Black Honey Tobacco TPA, 10%, 2 drops EM Initial taste was good, nice light tobacco flavor, might consider upping this to 15% after this steeps a week
  • Double RY4 TPA 10%, 2 drops EM Really sharp flavor, I might need to let this one steep a while, or back off the mix a bit.
  • Black and Mild Vaping Zone SC 6 drops, 2 drops EM. Yup, tastes like a Black and mild to me. Pretty chocolatey.
  • Caramel Macchiato VZ SC Coffee 4 drops; VZ SCcream 3 drops; VZ SC caramel 3 drops; EM 2drops. OH. MY. GAWD. This stuff won't MAKE it a week to steep... I think I got a solid winner on this one!

The drops for the EM are from a small transfer pipette, just letting it drop out on its own with no pressure applied. I can say that the VZ SC was by far the easiest to work with in the smaller mils. I'll likely use them a lot in the future.

You might want to back off on the TFA tobacco percentage a bit and see how you like it. I do mine at 4%. Just a thought.

Yeah, I thought about doing 5ml samples. But 10ml just seemed easier. Most of the things I read about using MA, EM, and suc, suggest only a couple drops per 5ml, and I wanted to avoid using drops as a measure. Using .1ml per 10ml seemed about what a couple drops per 5ml would be.

I also made a tobacco blend, but I'll let it sit for at least a few days before I even try it. That one I did add 2 other flavors to, so we'll see if I did as well.

I've got a bit of juice left I have ordered, but I can see me making up more of the blackberry as soon as I run out of it.

thanks!- I got the mixing bug, I keep thinking of all of the flavors and combos in the vape world and all of the projects I am going to work on

The Key is to keep Detailed and Accurate Records of EVERYTHING you do. Everything.

It's nice to have 2 or 3 Tried and True Flavor Recipes that you can fall back on when going on a Mixing Binge.

Excellent info, thanks, I'll see how these do after a few days, and if they're still wicked strong, I can always add in some more base to cut it back a tad. Really, the only one that was a bit overpowering for me was the DoubleRY4.

I was looking for info on TPA's percentages, but its gotten kinda scary to dig through the DIY forum at times... so much info!!!

The VZ SC Black and Mild is pretty spot on, but some people have stated it "too chocolatey", but tastes are subjective. I say if you're placing an order for VZ, toss one of them in there... if nothing else, you might get a good chocolate out of it
