Hey everyone. After obsessive research I have compiled a list of items, sources included, for when I take the plunge and make my initial orders to start. Hoping some vets can look it over and see what I have missed, if anything, please and thank you!!

Mixing:
100, 50, 20, 10 ml beakers
1, 5, 10, 20 ml syringes
14, 18 ga needles
Pipettes
Glass stir rods
5, 30, 60 ml drop top bottles
120 ml bottles for base/steeping batches
Gloves/glasses
Bridge less atty's for testers

Solutions/add ins:
Pg
Vg
Nicotine
EM
Citric acid
Sucralose sweetener (tfa)
AP
smooth (tfa)
Sour (tfa)
Sweet n tart (tfa)
Tobbacco absolute (need a source)

Flavors, have about 45 picked out mostly tfa, some cap. Also have a couple dozen recipes I've collected that this will cover, figure best to start making recipes before I start experimenting

Any input is appreciated. Like stated, wondering what best source for tobbacco absolute is as well ?? Thanks again!!

That list looks more than complete to me. Unless you are quite sure you will keep DIYing for a long while and/or like to have lab supplies around anyway, it might be a bit overkill. But that is just my opinion, and I am a miser.

A couple of incidentals you can get at a grocery store may be good to have on hand: a roll of paper towels, some distilled water if you will make high VG mixes. If you will not mix in a sink, a baking tray or plastic lunch tray to mix on is good in case of spills/errant drops. If you have young kids and cannot store the nic somewhere you are sure they cannot get at it, a locking box of some sort is recommended. You will want a a dedicated notebook, if you will not keep your notes on a computer.

Regarding first mixes, I recommend making a small batch of unflavored at your desired PG/VG ratio and some single flavor mixes. Until you have a good feeling for the flavors and how you personally like them, you risk making a bunch of stuff you will not like.

Homeish now
Beginner? no try this....

Mixing:
no beakers
5, 10 ml syringes and not insane like 2-3 each. the 5 for flavors, the 10ml for nic solution, and vg pg.
14, 18 ga needles blunt
Pipettes (big meh)
not needed Glass stir rods
5, 30, 60 ml drop top bottles
120 ml bottles for base/steeping batches going to be while before you need this.
Gloves/glasses
Bridge less atty's for testers if ya want not needed.

Solutions/add ins Yes will need this!
Pg
Vg
Nicotine

All the below is fluffer. Think saffron in cooking. Great if you know what your doing...but so not needed to learn to cook. I dont use any of these 97% of the time.
EM
Citric acid
Sucralose sweetener (tfa) (try brown sugar)
AP
smooth (tfa)
Sour (tfa)
Sweet n tart (tfa)

Flavors?! Where the heck are your flavors?? Thats what you should really be stockin up on.
Tobbacco absolute, Id start with some regular old tobacco flavoring easier to work with.
Looks like your interested in the tobbacco side...I recommend the Hangsen and Inawera tobacco flavors. Get a few of those, with some "base" undertone flavors like graham cracker, and toasted almond.

Dont Nuke it ;)

That is quit a bit for a first timer but it is a good selection. I see you've done your homework and I applaude you for that. I see you've mentioned quite a few additives. Be sure to read my blog on additives so you understand how to use them. Also read my blog on supplies for the first time DYI'er it may help shed some light on supplies and save you some money.

If your into tobaccos UntamedRose's suggestion on getting Hangsen or inawera tobaccos is right on the money. I prefer Hangsen over inawera but either are excellent expecially for the first timer. There very tasty and easy to get right the first time.

Read my blogs before getting started

E-Cigarette Forum - dannyv45 - Blogs

then read hoosier's blogs.

E-Cigarette Forum - Hoosier - Blogs

then read the stickies at the top of the page.

this will explain a lot of the how's and why's.

I personally can't stand syringes for vg. I have been diy for 2 years. I have a syringe and 1 ml dropper for flavoring, a 10ml graduated cylinder, a 50ml and 100ml beaker. I get by just fine. You don't have to get all crazy with all of it unless you know, You've got the money. Then by all means go all out. 45 flavors is way more than you probably need to start with... It would take you quite some time before you probably used each of them.

220 flavors after 9 months, plus 12 more in a cart.

Many I haven't even tried, but some tried and not liked.

Purevapes sell small samples (3ml) I think, way cheaper until you find the ones you like best.

After some time you'll order 30ml bottles of your favorites.

Like capella's vanilla custard.mmmmmm
