First "dragon coil" with silica

This is my first dragon coil made with silica measured at 1.0 ohms. Ive tried cotton and SS but still prefer silica. However, it doesn't seem to taste as strong as my regular 1.0 coils. I do notice more airflow with the dragon coil, but it seems to be lacking flavor. Also my air hole is drilled to 1.5 mm.

Can anyone with more experience in these types of coils tell me if I'm doing something wrong or if this is what to expect? Would appreciate feedback :)

I just realized I made a higher resistance coil when I tightened the screws (noob mistake ), so I made a new one on a smaller drill bit and got it to a .9. It is much better tasting now but I noticed that it takes a little longer to vaporize the juice than a traditional coil, so I assume dragons are better suited for lower resistance and cotton; say .5 or lower. But Im liking it so far

I have not tried a dragon, but from what I understand about them I would use cotton. IMO that will give you much better control of the way the coil is covered with wick and that's important.

I tried one with cotton and it does work better for a dragon coil. Cotton + increased air flow from dragon = superb vapor. However I'm not much of a cloud chaser, I just go fo flavor. And imo, just my opinion from experience, silica tends to give me the best flavor. And I finally got down getting 2 wraps of 3mm silica tightly around that dragon and wow...
