Since I will only have one prototype, it'd have to get passed around to beta test it. Since I'm fairly new to the forum, how do I know who to choose for this distinct honor and who to trust? I really hate to say that I trust everyone, because everyone is not worthy of that trust. I've been burned befive. Still it is something to consider.

Bah, my holiday was totally fobarred. I wanted to spend time on my buddies lathe and get the prototype busted out but he had sick family that he had to go keep tabs on which left me totally stuck with nothing to do. So now I've got to take it to a local machine shop and pay $900 to have a prototype made.

I've also completely designed the look and am going to release pictures of the unit soon as I can update the renders. I have to say that this is going to be the SLEEKEST looking epipe on the market.

Kenom what are you thinking as far as the switch? Cant wait to see what you come up w/ my gf and i love your work, from what im seeing it looks like the air would hit the top of the wick and then get drawn through the chamber? looks promising :)

The switch will be a mechanical switch like most hybrids. Lets see if I can explain it well enough without visuals. Essentially it's going to be like an Avenger Telescope mod. There will be a "button" with a plunger attached to it (part of it) that you will place a spring on and slide it into the "bottom" you will then screw onto it a flat round piece that will bridge the battery and the bottom of the Genny. This will complete the circuit from the batteries positive side to the bottom of the genny which is directly connected to the center post of the top of the genny. Hope that's clear enough.

As to the chamber, I've got the air hole in the top slightly slanted so that as it's drawn down into the chamber, it creates a cyclone action around the inside of the chamber and circulating around the wick and as you draw on it, you draw from where the wick is situated, so you should in theory draw all the additional vapor created in the chamber as well as whats directly coming off the wick. I'm hoping that the length from the wick to the mouthpiece is enough so that you don't get a mouthful of "spit" from the wick.

I do want to update one thing. I've decided that I didn't like the "style" or look of the device as it was, so I searched high and low to find a style that suited what I wanted for this pipe for the redesign. I have finally found something that just SCREAMS K-pipe. I will post a picture of what this pipe looks like that I've found to kind of resemble. Now that being said, it will NOT LOOK JUST LIKE IT. Obviously, the pipe that I've found is already made and I am not going to be the jerk and outright copy it. I will however use it as a style to model the new pipe around. It will incorporate all the same features that I've already stated, like: Center post modifications already discussed, single 18350 battery design, Genny built right into the bowl, window to view fluid levels in the tank and so forth. Just the exterior "shape" will change.

With all that said, here is kind of how it will look.

Carbon fiber will not be on the pipes, just the overall general "shape"

well, it's become obvious to me that my limited ability in solidworks is going to work against me, so I'm going to have to hire someone who can use solidworks to help me design this pipe. I've got all the dimensions and such, I just cannot seem to get the design to work with this particular type of pipe with all those curves. I'm not giving up, I'm just bowing out in the actual cadwork. :I If anyone knows someone skilled with Solidworks who is capable of making this pipe please have them PM me.

Was just thinking about this and how comfortable would this be to tip like we do with other genesis attys?

That is a valid point because on most pipes that use a genesis atty via 510 connection are orientated horizontally where as this will be verticle. Interested to see how that will be addressed
