So I got my first mech mod. It's a Nemesis clone from SlowTech. (I know, just a starter) I have a a Tobh Atty on it wrapped at .6Ω with 28ga kanthal, 7 wraps on both. I have it tubed down to 18350 mode with a purple Efest. Wicked with organic cotton. coils are beautiful, without wick these coils fire at the same time and get to a gorgeous bright glow. All looks great so far...

Wick it, drop a bit of DIY 80v/20p blueberry cheesecake, and then I get a cloud that doesn't even begin to compare with my Ego starter pen... I have rewicked this thing numerous times, each time with different amounts of cotton, same thing continues. Is it just that a 18350 sucks that bad, or is something else going on that I am missing?

Btw, I have an eVic that is my daily carry (very happy dripping with it wrapped at 1.1Ω) and an iTaste 134 for at home use, and an Ego shorty on a sticker for pocket carry stealth needs. This mech was just my first step into mechs, and I wanted one that was short with an 18350 battery, so I know going to a 650 is stronger and so forth, but I want to make the best of this in 18350 mode. Maybe I am hoping for too much...

Any advice is appreciated!!

Be careful with those 18350. The purple Efests claim to be rated at 10.5A, but I'm not sure if that's inflated or not. If your meter is off 0.2 ohms, which isn't that much, you could be in trouble.

Being a 3.7v battery, at .6Ω I should be at 6.17A. That still gives a safety cushion right? (given the 10.5 is inflated)

1:
How are you measureing the ohms

2:
Is the 0.6 the measured combined ohms

Check post screws on your atty
Check to see if center pin is making a good connection to the atty.
Be sure battery is charged.
Test fire with cap off to see if everything is working properly.
Be sure air holes are close to coils.
Vape like a boss.

^ Yup ... that was my first thought as well. If your atty post screws come loose it will fire as if you're battery is almost dead.

Besides what has been stated, break down the mod and make sure the threads, contacts, and switch assembly is clean.

The center screw did appear a bit loose but not enough to seem like that was the issue. I will build it again around 1 just to be on the safer side. Do my coils look too low to the deck? And is there too much cotton? (Both ideas that were previously mentioned) This is only my 2nd RDA and I am still in the learning phase. Thanks again for any help!

edit: the Tobh Atty has 3 air holes on each side and I keep them positioned directly facing the coils.

Uh...why does your micro coils look....uh...bent out of shape???

Lol I had them at 45 degrees to see if that would get them to taste a bit better having them more off the deck a bit then bent them back. And then when I tightened the center post screw it pulled them a bit. This was all done tonight after I got home.
