Iam looking for my first mech mod I'm looking into the hcigar m16 sentinel clone stainless steel version I wanted a Sony 18650 VTC4 30amp battery was wondering if that was a good battery for it and also wanted a good dripping atomizer not too expensive just kinda stuck on the battery and the atomizers any suggestions ? (Including mods you think I should go with)

I currently have ego c twist with protank 2 2.2ohm replaced the silica with cotton same coils though (looking to produce more vapor!)

The sony is one of the best batteries for Doing dripping, Especially if you go low ohm builds. The m16 is a good mod, Have you looked at any others? Mods with Adjustable firing pins are good to match any atty you put on there. Silver plated contacts are a good one as well.

I was looking at the IGO-w3 not too long ago, it has 5 posts with room to do all kinds of different coil setups. Pretty good stuff, Otherwise vapehappy has the nimbus XL clone which is a cloudchaser.

I agree with everything TheReign said

Those sonys are what I have in my mech mod and am vaping(every time I type in vaping, it autocorrects it to gaping hahaha) as I type. I usually keep my builds around .8 ohms but when I want to go lower, I know that there is nothing to worry about!

I use the Ehpro version of the Trident Clone…I picked it up from Free-cigs.com and I love it!
$23.99, copper center pin, HUGE deck to build on, and a pretty good adjustable airflow.

As for the mech mod, I would definitely say look at the magneto from trianglevapes.com…They have the newest version of it and its great. It was in the high 30s range. I think maybe $35.99? It has an adjustable firing pin, good ventilation, telescoping, and works off of a magnetic firing mechanism. Probably my best buy under $50. Look up Pbusardo's review on it on youtube, and everything he didn't like about the first version is fixed in the second version.

What is your price range for the mech mod? I know you wanted a cheaper RDA

IGO-W is a good starter dripper, you can use single or dual coils if you get teh 2 hole cap and the build is pretty beginner friendly, the W2 and W3 can be a royal pain inthe nether regeons. The Tridents and Omegas are pretty popular also. Look for drippers where you can get at the terminals trying to install coils at the bottom of a hole will make you curse... a lot....

I really like Youdes offerings and am using one of their AGR+ carto units on an 18650 pumped nemesis while writing this.... Across the room is an 0.8Ω IGO-w drilled out, single coil, awaiting a free mod, and a dual micro coiled, hemp wicked, 1.4Ω IGO-w3 on a VV mod regulated to 4v......

I like my drippers and gennys and when I get it will like my Aqua, but for all around stuff that I used to use EVODs and Protanks for the AGR+ is my choice these days, great flavor and almost as much producton as my W3, I dont have to carry juice tothe store with me and I dont have to worry about it leaking in my pocket or all over the coffee table......

Kayfun v3.1 and RSSTs are popular as starter rigs for tank units.

HCigar makes good stuff, some of the better clones out there as does EH Pro.

Batteries, high C rating Sopny then efest purple.

Regular C: AW, Efest and Panasonic

18350 AW and Efest

Chargers: XTAR VP-1, Nitecore i2 and i4 and LUC, but the early LUCs tended to charge slightly high which worries some people....

I polled around a bit for the ones with good ratings and got this:

Nemesis
Origin
Caravela
69
Chi you

One thing about the Nemesis is you pretty much have to upgrade the switch to magnets, just how it is...

Whatever you get, make sure to get a fuse for it, I like my eyebrows and assume you do also.....

Get a couple of 18350 size batterys also, sometimes the 18650s just plain pump out too much heat for the atomizer you are using and a kicked 18350 can last longer than an 18650 if you are using Ω+ resistances.

A kick will also make your 650s last much longer, but you have to use resistances it works with. However you can crank the voltage up and get your vapor delivery that way....

Hey Solex, A clone is a good place to start, especially HCigars clones, they are some of the best ones out there. The Nemisis clone is pretty good and would have a higher resale value then the Sentinal clones. Sentinals are dropping in popularity. I great starter atomizer would be the iGoW rda, they are cheap and hit really well. The green Sony's or AW Red batteries are a great choice, stay away from eFest batteries.
Let me know if you have any other questions!

John

Im sporting the Smok Magneto with a UD IGO-W dripper.

Hey guys, I'm looking for a new mod as well and decided to latch on instead of making a new thread. I'm currently using a patriot rda on a nemesis clone. What I'm looking for is an authentic mod and not a clone as I have a few of those already. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm looking for more of unique mods.

A fuse where would I go about buying those at ? And how do they work? Also I was looking into the rsst seemed nice also the tridents I was looking at too are those easy to install coils on? And the nemesis mod the switch magnets that are already on it isn't good ?

You should be able to get the safety fuse wherever you get your mods or batteries price may vary from $2 to $5 or so.

If it is a B&M and they look at you funny when you ask, I would leave and go elsewhere as their level of ignorance is likely to get YOU hurt.

Description and several locations here. (it just sits on top of your battery)

The nemesis mod is a great mod, with the exception of the switch. It has 2 springs and is just plain funky from the factory.

The removal of one spring and the additon of 2 to 3 magnets turn it into a great mod to use.

Batteries: There are several brands out there that are well known and popular, of those some models are great and some are so/so or just plain wrong. Do your research and pay attention to the number of posts and apparent knowledge of the people who are telling yo uwhat is and is not good. For instance Sony does not have a popular 18350 but AW and Efest both are commonly used safely by vapers.

The research I have done seems to always point to one of three mechs as the best place to start if you are looking for a clone: The Nemesis by HCigar, the EHPro EA, and the Smokteck Magneto. Personally I just picked up the EHPro EA mod and love it and yet, it is stretched to its max but will fit a kick with an 18650. Was heavily leaning towards the Magneto but had two different vendors tell me to go with the EHPro EA instead so I did. Going to pick up either the Nemesis or Magneto next.

I think I need to change my undergarments after seeing that, this thing looks amazing! I'm definitely considering this.

It's one that's on my bucket list, just because it's so ridiculous I have to have it! I keep an eye out for a dripper that will match it, but I don't think it's possible. hahaha.
