I want to try sub ohm coils in RBA's. I just need to find out what most are using to make these sub ohm coils. Wire size and wick material.

Check out the micro coil thread in the RBA forum. Make sure you have some good batteries that can handle high continuous draw. 28g or 30g kanthal are what a lot of people are using for wire. I prefer using cotton as the wick material, but the wick material really comes down to preference. Try a few different materials if you can and decide what you like best. I also highly suggest an Igo-W if you haven't already purchased a dripper. Imo, it can't be beat for the price.

I use mostly 28GA kanthal, 5 wraps around 2 strands of 2.5 mm silica gets me about 1 ohm in a single coil setup. Reduce your wraps from there to go lower. I really need to mess with the micro coils but have been to lazy lately to try something new. People seem to be getting great results.

With sub ohming, safety can be an issue as you will be putting a load on your batteries. Make sure your load is appropriate for the battery you choose. When in doubt AW IMR batteries are the way to go. To find out whether your battery can discharge safely at the amps you need, learn about C ratings of the batteries you want to use: https://www.commonsenserc.com/page.php?page=c_ratings_explained.html and work with: http://www.ohmslawcalculator.com/ohms_law_calculator.php to determine the amps that your current setup with need to pull from a battery.
