i'm really intrigued by the whole mech mod thing. i love the flush design, i like how it's just the fire button, and everything else is determined by the way it's built. can someone recommend me a good starter mech mod? i'd like something simple, not something that looks like one of the sith's lightsabers lol.. you know, flush sides, fire button on bottom... also, i've seen atomizers and also ones that look like they have a tank that can hold some liquid, too? can someone help me out on those? i'm confused by the ones that look like they have tanks... are they dripping atomizers still?

but yeah, cheap, i don't care if it's a clone. i'd actually prefer one because of the price.
and can someone recommend a good atomizer? i feel like i've seen ones that have a drip section plus a tank around it? maybe one of those instead or maybe in addition? thanks!!

I'd get the Hcigar Nemesis. If you don't plan on going way sub ohm I'd get the Stainless Steel one as they hold up better the copper and brass ones tarnish and dent easy as the metal is soft. I would avoid ones with magnets incorporated in the switch contact as they IMO are the worst point of failure in them i had a Sig #19 and have a Magneto. The magneto is pretty good no problems yet but the #19 was a pain in the ..... The Nemesis is simple and common. I think Hcigar makes the best of them. OH I have the Stainless Hcigar Nemesis.

Something to keep in mind with mech mods:

You're going to be dealing with voltage drop constantly. When I used mechanical mods way back before VV with a big thing, it drove me crazy.

Basically, you pull your battery off the charger and it fires at 4.2 volts for a while. Then as the capacity gets slowly drained from the battery, the power that it outputs drops. It usually seems to hold around 4.0 and then down to 3.8 for a while. Then it'll start heading down toward 3.5.

For me, with a 1.7 ohm cartomizer on top, 4.2 volts was great. Then 3.8 was decent. When it dropped below that, I could notice it, because I was having trouble getting a satisfying amount of vapor. So I would have two options: Deal with it until the battery got closer to empty, or change out for a fresh battery.

Voltage drop is why I stick to Variable Voltage / Variable Wattage devices. That's not to say that it's for you, you might prefer mech mods and all of the stuff that comes with them.

That's my 2 cents.
