First mod...can't put it down!! A few questions...

Sup everyone. So I've progressed from some pretty cheap starter kits to what i think is a pretty decent beginning setup. I got the Vision Spinner 2 and a Kangertech TS3. I'm into it. It blows away my previous setup and I feel like I'm actually vaping now. Almost 2 weeks of no analogs! Anyway, what are the benefits of variable voltage? I have a general idea but I wanted to hear what you guys had to say. What are the nuances of vaping at lower and higher voltages? Also how good quality wise is my setup? Any advice is much appreciated ie maintenance tips etc. Thanks alot.

Everyone seems to have a different opinion on what set-up is best for them, and I think anything that gets you off and keeps you off cigarettes is good. To me its nice to have adjustable wattage/voltage or both since I use different tanks as well as different juices. It gives you the ability to dial in the flavor just right for you liking. I pretty much only use a Provari V2 that I got on the classifieds used but I have read so many great things about the Vision spinners that I plan on picking one up since it will be a little easier to carry around and stealth vape.

I also love all of my Kanger tanks, they are made pretty well and the BDC coils are easily re-built into a single coil with great results if you choose to get into building your own coils.Congrats on quitting the cigs and Happy vaping!

The variable voltage is nice and you have a good unit. I vape a Kanger Pro Tank II at 6W but my Nautilus Mini does best at 10W. Different tanks and different ejuice determine voltage. You have the power to decide what you like best. I like the idea of vaping at 6W because it extends battery life and is still a quality vape.

You can adjust the voltage until you find it works best.

I find for example that after a day or 2 on the same atomizer head, I need to run higher volts/watts.
Then when I change out the head, I have to go back down.

Also if you put in a standard coil with silica wick you run one voltage, but if you rewick with cotton, you find you vape at higher power because the cotton wicks better than silica.

another thing is when you buy replacement coils they may be of different ohms; a higher ohm coil will need more voltage to drive it.

The vision spinner 2 is a great VV device. You really want something that will knock your socks off for that device? Get a Kanger Aerotank Mini. Right now. I am a subohm mechanical junkie and I wrap my own coils, so my own standards are pretty high, but those new aerotanks are very impressive. Pick yourself one up off eBay for 25 bucks or so and you'll be very impressed

The good thing about variable voltage is just that you can get your vape exactly how you want it. Put your tank on and start at the lowest setting and work you way up the voltage settings until you find that sweet spot that's right for you. Some people like a nice warm vape and some people like a cooler vape. It's all just personal preference. If you get a variable wattage mod you set it to what wattage you want it to fire at and it will automatically adjust the voltage based on the resistance of your coil and the wattage you have it set to. I personally like variable voltage just so I can really dial it in for that perfect vape.

The Vision Spinner with TS3 is pretty good. I switch between vv/vw mods and mech mods on a daily basis. I have a iPV V2 50w box mod and a KSD eHuge 15w mod. Those are both variable wattage but only the eHuge is vv/vw. One of my favorite setups that I use on a daily basis is my iPV V2 with a Kanger AeroTank with 0.8 ohm coils. The AeroTank is a pretty nice tank like someone else said. When you take the pyrex window out and put the steel piece it to make it all metal it looks so sleek and clean especially on a stainless steel mod.
