First MOD..recommendations?

Hey everyone!
I've been vaping for about 6 months now and have successfully quit smoking cigarettes. My current setup is a Kanger iPow battery (ego style with VV and LCD screen) and Aerotank Mini. I have adopted vaping full time and want to upgrade my hardware to have even more features and control. From what I have read and heard, a MOD is the next step up. I really enjoy having VV on my iPow and would like to stick with APV style ones with VV and VW. So no mechs for now I suppose.

Here is what I've been considering:

Box style
- Innokin MVP 2.0
- Innokin VTR
- Hana Modz V3 DNA30 clone from fasttech

Tube style
- Innokin SVD 2.0 (when it comes out)
- VAMO V5
- Segelei Zmax V5
- Provari 3 (when it comes out)

It seems that every one of the above mods have gotten great reviews. I'm at a loss when it comes to picking one. However, I must say I want the new Provari 3 the most. The current version is constantly raved about and I would have pulled the trigger on it if the P3 wasnt coming out soon. The only issue is nobody seems to know when it will be available, especially to online customers, and of course the price. The current version is very expensive compared to the others and it's been said the P3 will be even more expensive. But I'm willing to wait and fork out the cash if it really is that good.

Out of the mods I have listed, which would you recommend? Are there any others I should be looking at?

Thanks all!

I have a vamo v5 but you have to keep your builds at 1.2 ohm or higher. Good fit with protank 3 though. I have asked for hana v3 for Christmas if I can wait, but I really enjoy my stingray x and kayfun combo or my diy box, unregulated with my kayfun. I enjoy building and like the vape I get from .4 to .7 ohm builds. It's definitely a personal preference though.

Consider the MVP v2.

1. Huge (2600 mah) battery
2. Variable Voltage - Voltage can be adjusted from 3.3 ~ 5.0 in 0.1 volt increments
3. Variable Wattage - Wattage can be adjusted from 6.0 ~ 11.0 in 0.5 watt increments
4. Ohms Meter - Reads the resistance of your atomizer
5. Pass through ability
6. $40 shipped at many online stores

Pair it with a mini Naulitus with the new BVC's (bottom vertical coils) an you will have a great vape.

I suggest waiting. The P3, and the newest from Evolv (DNA boards) should be out by Christmas. Keep an ear out on the DNA as I have seen some cool rumors 50w?, Temperature control?, reverse battery protection?, possibly down regulation?!?!?! Those are pretty much every complaint anyone has had with the DNA 20/30 and possibly a cool extra in temp control.

Buy some RTA's or RDA's. Spend some time learning to rebuild. By the time you have it down the newest Mod's will be out and available. I just got back into vaping I knew about the P3 and still bought a real DNA30. Had I known about the apparent major upgrade to the Evolv boards, I may have bought an MVP style and waited. The P3 looks to be very solid and decent. Go to the provape site, and look up dealers around you and give them a call.

Provari is nice but I think the new one was beta tested at 20 watt max. Would be all over it if it went up to 30 watts. They make a nice product but they are sure behind the time. Just marketing alone will bounce them out of the competition. Yes they were the top of the echelon because there were no competition in their market. Then came the DNA boxes and I'm sure it hurt their sales. I see people now vaping DNA30/SX devices who once were Provari vapers. Would have been ideal to see Provari with a DNA30/50(if the next chip goes to 50 watts) chip.

The Hana Mods from Fasttech is so hit or miss, would not recommend them. I tell people these days go with a IPV2/3 or Vaporshark (r)DNA30. Just more room to venture into different aspects of vaping. All devices 5-20 watts is so outdated now. It's so last year, like buying a Iphone 4s right now.

I would suggest ipv2/3 just so you wouldn't have to upgrade if you move on to RDA/RBA. Got mine Monday with a nautilus on it from vapenw.com fo 99.99 for the IPV2 and love it. Mvp2 is a great device but not much room for growth in your vaping experience. I now wish I had started with the mvp2 but when I looked to upgrading from spinner 2 room for growth was primary concern for me. It really depends on how far into the hobby side you want to go. If you never want to go into rda or lower ohm builds then mvp2 would probably get my vote. I would rate vtr as an intermediate with the IPV devices as the most growth so far. And again personal opinion doesn't necessarily make it the best for you which is the important thing at the end of the day

I don't mind it really. It is just short enough to not fall out of my pocket.

Tom our conversation is out of control.
I know, I started it.

Sizing chart comparison. Which one would you take, lets say when you go out golfing? You know thin golf shorts and such.
Wanted to show you that I had one, sits on my desk as a paper weight. Even though it's filled with ejuice. :?:

In the P3 thread, one of the employees stated that they are shooting for a release before December. So sometime within the next 60 days, we'll see the P3 I believe. Definitely hold out for that. Of all the ones you listed, the MVP2 is a really good one. Battery lasts all day long, and if your in to clearomizers, this is a great device. I'm more in to rebuildables, and I'm trying to find a perfect setup to go with the P3 right now. I'm debating on getting back in to genesis atomizers, because I used a Pyrex RSST on my Provari V2.5 for months and it did very nice. I do have ceramic ReadyXwick that I may try on my old RSST as well.

I have a Cana Modz V3 DNA30 and its not bad for 80 bucks. Definitely the most powerful option you listed. If I'm vaping at 30 watts though, I prefer a good mechanical mod. I run my Reo in the 40 watt range all the time with 12 mg nicotine juice, and it gets pretty nuts. My only gripe with the Cana Modz is that the button isn't very comfortable
