Budget is extremely limited so I'm doing the fasttech shop. Looking at the kts, ea, or magneto clones. The chi you clone is not out of the question but for the moment budget is extremely limited. Looking for a good match for a trident I have on order with them. Currently using Apollo vv batteries, really don't have much experience outside of that but want to get into rba's and mods. So what is the recommendations?

If you want to use a Mech. Mod I suggest you purchase some AW IMR batteries and a couple of safety fuses.
There are many different clones on the market that will perform great, and some that need some TLC, and some that are crap. Do your research before you buy.
Many of the mods on FT, will have some reviews of some sort here on e-cig.

I've been extremely happy with the K100 Empire clone. I could just about give up all of my other vape stuff and be happy with just this setup. It also does work great with my Igo-l too. A real no-brainer for me.

It works great with the new Kanger Protank II. I run an AW 18350 with a fuse and it seems to work just great. But my SO bought one and for some strange reason it has a funky taste. I cleaned most everything on it with alcohol which made it better but I'm thinking that one of the connections is not the best?

And the magneto is a "Williston" clone. Kinda scary since there are no reviews yet but seems like it maybe worth the risk

There is another post here on ECF about this one. I asked about the pin issue since the Smoktech Magneto V1 had some issue with the pin not making contact with several RBAs. You might be ok with the Trident though.

You might want to search around for comments on the SmokTech Magneto. There is also a thread with a link to all of the clones available from Fastech somewhere around here.

I like mine a lot. With an IMR and a 1 ohm genny coil, I only lose 0.2V. That's pretty good in my book.

Cool! Have you had any issues with the pin not making contact on your Magneto? I have an AGA-t2(not set up yet) that would want to use and somewhere on one of the vendor sites they mention that the original Magneto might not work with those.

Honestly, everything worked. Then again, my ZAU has a spring loaded pin, my AC9 has an adjustable pin, any my Nautilus also has an adjustable pin lol. The only thing I tried that didn't have an adjustable pin was a HH357 and Aero bridgeless. I will test out a few other RDAs shortly and will report back.

I got these from fasttech they all work great I had an aluminium sentinel but I chopped it up to use for part. I used the outer tubes to fill in the gaps on the Private v2 when using a kick or a longer battery and cut the brass inner tube in half to use a kick on the all brass M16 clone. All of them where under $20 the Private v2 was only $12 and its my favorite. Just ordered the gold trident from FT to go on the brass M16 clone best RDA I have used.
