The time has come! I am going to buy a Mod.

I am currently using eGO C Twist 650mah batteries (2) and am tired of switching batteries every 4-6 hours. Additionally, I am concerned about having only 1 backup. On top of all of that, I want a Mod!!!

I have a "vape budget" of approximately $80 for this purchase (which will have to include the cost of batteries and a charger). I have been watching youtube video reviews of several budget mods and every time I think I have made a decision, I waffle. I also need to let you know I am wanting to get into rebuildable delivery systems, not sure that matters, but don't want to buy something which will preclude me from going that direction.

So, I am requesting help from you fine folk to help me make a decision. I contemplated putting links into Mods I am considering, but decided against it because I do not want to limit the conversation, with except the budget.

Ready...GO!

My progression from eGo batts was to a Sigelei ZMAX. I have since moved on the mech mods but still use my Sigelei often.

Just did the same yesterday. have been vaping for only two weeks. Already quit smoking. Got an ego c kit two weeks ago, and numerous clearamizers, carto tanks, etc. since then. Want a display!

best regards, larry mac

I went with an eGo for a month and upgraded to a Lavatubev3 on Friday. I really like the LT. It was between that and an eVic..the LT package came with more accessories and I knew I would never use all of the online features it offers. Now I carry the eGo and LT in a case and use them both depending on the situation. Next step will be a mech mod, but I know nothing about those so I will need to do my homework.

I don't have one, but I'm thinking I may have to scrounge/hide some money and splurge on the iTaste MVP 2, especially if FT gets them for about the same price as the version 1 ($45)

The MVP gets my vote as well for a budget mod. I love mine and it fits nicely in the hand, the battery last a long time and you can use to charge other devices such as a cell phone or Kindle, which saved my bacon a few times on our last camping trip. Just make sure you choose what connection that you use the most but you can always get an adapter to use with other connections as well.

I have the vamo V2 which can be found for $30-50 from what I have seen. It was my first mod and still works great five or so months in. I use and aga-t2 on it exclusively so if you decide to go with rebuildables it will work just fine, as long as you stay above 1.3 ohms.

The other vv/vw mods that I am considering are the SID and the MVP. Both of those seem to get really good reviews around here but I can't say anything about them from experience.

Good luck, I highly recommend you read the Vamo subforum VAMO for issues that you may encounter.

I have two Vamos, a V2 and a V3. Both have threading issues. They can be overcome, but just be aware, you might get unlucky and have some problems to deal with.

Have been there and read of the issues. May go buy the gasket and have it in reserve just in case! But thanks for the heads-up!

I've just made the move from an ego style battery (a volcano inferno kit) to a vmax v3 - the flathead telescopic one to be exact - and am very pleased. I was getting sick of never seeming to get a truly satisfying vape from my inferno despite tinkering with juice mixes and using various clearomisers and tanks.

I confess not be very knowledgeable about the more technical aspects of such things but it seems to work pretty well. I'm still experimenting with finding the right settings for different flavours but to be honest that's half the fun. I do think I might change my PG/VG ratio from 50:50 to something with a bit more PG as I understand this works better with higher watts. The batter life seems ok too - an 18350 lasts me all day at work but possibly wouldn't last a full day of being able to vape freely. On the plus side it only takes a couple of hours to charge.

I just quit smoking analogs july 29 2013
My vote would be for a MVP or a V3.0 i have both they are my first ecigs, pair them up with kanger protank i do belive that this set up will make you happy.
Reasons for advice
mvp or v3.0 great choice long batt life my MVP straight out box was a week before 1st charge
Kanger protank best reason ITS GLASS untill you know what will crack stuff i would stay with glass plus coils are rebuildable
extra advive from a newb
look into diy i started my first week of no analogs
look into rebuilding coils , i rebuild mine on my protanks and evod 30g a1 kanthal 1.6ohms to 3.0 ohms still working bugs out.
all of this will buy you time to hunt down what you really want .

congrats on the switch it has changed my life
