So I got home from work today to find my new M401 on my doorstep

I charged the batteries, loaded one of the prefilled carts (my juice won't be here till Friday), pocketed an extra just in case and head out to meet some friends at the bar.

Being a typical heavy smoking night I blazed through the first cart in a few hours with no problem. Great vapor production and I didn't want an analog at all. So I put in my replacement and soon had trouble.

A few minutes into the vape I got a a couple of drops of liquid in my mouth. I tried blowing through it and then blowing on the battery to burn the excess off the atty but it didnt seem to work, just more liquid (left a nice little sore spot on my lip). When I pulled the cart off the filling was stuck to the bridge of the atty.

Pardon my noobness but what exactly do I do if this happens again?

Thanks

btw, the stock "tobacco" flavoring that comes with the 401 is awful! I would recommend anyone ordering this kit to order more juice at the same time. A friend described it as "sweet tea that someone soaked a cigar in."

I've got one more slight issue. My automatic battery keeps going off in my pocket. I tried unscrewing it from the atty but it's still lighting up from time to time. Any tricks to help prevent this?

If the atty is unscrewed then it won't be drawing enough current to worry about, just enough to set off the blinkin light.

I have at least a half-dozen 401s laying around at any given time. When my dogs start barking (mostly at each other) it looks like a swarm of fireflies.

HAHAHA! Now that's funny! I take it these are the microphone type sensors and not the vacuum sensor?

Yeah, when I get paid next I want to get some manual batteries. Before I realized this was happening I noticed whenever I pulled it out of my shirt pocket it was a bit warm.

One last newbie question (hopefully). I'm having some trouble finding blank carts and I'm almost out of the prefilled. My juice is coming in tomorrow. Can I yank the filling out of my prefilled carts, rinse them out, insert a new filling and reuse them? Any recommendations on a filler I can acquire locally that will hold juice well for a beginner? I've read about polyfill on here and it seems promising but I would like to make sure before I buy some that I'm getting the right stuff.

When you flooded the atty, you could have gotten liquid in the auto battery. This causes it to malfunction. It might come out of it, but never, never, never, leave your atty connected. You don't necessarily have to remove the atty, just give it a couple turns so the battery can't fire up the atty.

I ruined a few batteries myself doing this, and it's why, while modding the auto batteries into NicoSticks which are manual, the hole was plugged.

yes you can pull the fluval filler out of youre used carts, go to the pharmacy and get an oral use only syringe form the man in the white coat, pull about 5 or 6 carts worth of foam out and put the foam in the syringe, then put the plunger back in and squeeze the excess juice out of the foam. youll be very suprised at the amount of excess un used juice you have in them. then just fill the carts and put the fluval back in. good luck

Tea bags work pretty well. If you have some on hand, cut off the seams(dump the tea), then cut the bag in half, fold it over lengthwise, then roll up loosly. Fill the cart 2/3s of the way to the top w/ juice, put in the tea bag roll and cut of the excess. Make sure there is enough room for the atty, and top off w/ juice as needed. Works at least as well as poly, and most people have old tea bags in their pantry. Doesn't need to be the pyramid tea bags, although that might work better.

I was wondering about the teabags. I have both the pyramids and traditional types on hand at any time.

I was a bit scared to use the traditional tea bags because of the fire hazard if I run it too dry.

I've also noticed that the carts on the 401s seem to be a tube within a tube. When you talk about using the teabag filler should I attempt to cut it to only fillf the inner tube or the length of the entire cart. When you say to fill the cart 3/4 of the way I assume you mean just the inner tube?

Another question, last night during my flooding incident I got a bit of liquid on my top lip. Today it feels like I sunburned the area the liquid touched. Is this normal?

Thanks for all the help and advice everyone. I promise I'm reading as much as I can but I'm so exited about vaping and giving up analogs that I want to know it all now. I've currently got 7 tabs open to different threads and trying to read them all.

Yes, you need to only fill the inner cart, or you'll get a mouth full of juice(that ell wake you up, but not in a good way lol). I had an xhaleo2 from 7-11, and my friend still has his. We use tea bags, or the original filler in his carts. Just make sure to get all the foil/plastic sheet off the top of the cart when you do this. *should* work much better than the factory settup. Does for my friend and I.

Not normal from my experience. Usually clears up in a few minutes. Perhaps your carts are PG based and you are having a reaction to it. Some have an allergic reaction to PG. I use VG only to avoid any possible problems w/ PG.
