I was having trouble with my P+ hitting correctly and the fix ended up being cleaning my batteries with a pencil eraser. Whatever came off was completely invisible but it sure had a substantial effect.

As others above have stated, you do need to do some regular cleaning. I also pull the button out and clean it and the hole in the bottom cap. I also clean the spring and ridge where the spring sits. You can definitely tell when things are getting gunked up...
Lots of good tips. I sent it off along with the battery so we shall see what was amiss. It also has a decent scratch in the tube so that will be fixed also. I think it will be nice to start with a clean slate and just do the normal upkeep then. Thanks for all the help and I will keep everyone updated

Still waiting on the PV to come back home. Its been hell with no mechanical mod. I finally set the Genesis attys down and I miss them, but I know bliss is just around the bend. Must be a tough time with all the new stuff coming out along with the holidays. But I hope I get it back soon.
Your unit was shipped back today. I couldn't find anything wrong with it. I suspect that the atomizer/tank/rba wasn't making good contact with the center post, so i pressed it out, replaced the insulator and reinstalled it .010 thousandths higher. Should do the trick. I refurbished your unit too. Looks sweet!
Awesome news. I looked at that connector and was trying to figure out if it was adjustable but the atty was never real hot in that area so I was lost. But I guess if the person before me was putting some snot on that connection it would work its way down some. So was it the stock height or just my atomizer?

It was installed to the stock height, nothing had moved it from its OE position. I just raised it .010.
Okay, I will remain optimistic that was the issue since I had an oring in the Atty to lower the pin as it was. Crossing my fingers. Thanks again.

Oddly enough I actually do. Sold the 500 I had with the telescope, and gave away two AW 490's recently. All out now

I tried so hard to find more O -rings in that tube lol. At this point I have been without for a minute, but it will work out and be worth it in the end. On the flip side. I can now see why the folks that can afford it buy so many.
