I have been reading this forum for awhile. I started vaping in March. I wish I had known what to read when I started. I got my first kit from V2 Cigs and liked it. I quickly realized that the battery time was kind of limiting. The cartomizers were not lasting long, at least before the flavor was not so good. I began looking for something better. I realized that this forum came up in all my searches and that it was probably the largest out there. Since then this has been the main place I've turned to when researching what I intended to purchase. Please excuse me if I use the wrong terms in places.

I have made four purchases from Fasttech. I separated my purchases by the expected ship date. My first order came yesterday. I got a VAMO V3 kit and a X6 4-in-1 Rechargeable 1300mAh Variable Voltage Electronic Cigarettes Set w/ X8 atomizer. I did not have a way to fill the X8 tank so I had to run and buy the cheapest clearomizer I could get on the spot. I couldn't wait for the rest of my orders to try my new toys! I paid nearly $8.00 for a CE4 clearomizer, which almost made me decide to wait after all. I accidentally killed that clearomizer by turning the volts up to high on the VAMO. Yes. I know I'm a ...... So I tried to figure out a way to fill that X8 tank half the night. Where there is a will, there is a way. I found a mechanical pencil that I took apart and was able to stick the tip on a bottle of e-liquid and form a tiny tip that could fit that tiny hole and squeezed the liquid in. Now I had redeemed myself after my moment of sheer stupidity and was happily vaping away. This morning went well. I really enjoyed my new sets until afternoon. My X8 tank just stopped working. I've been vaping on the VAMO at 3.8v. I don't know if I've made some mistake or if the heating core really has gone out already. I know I have read that the cartomizers that come with these are crap, but actually dying after a few hours of use??

Luckily, my Kanger Protank and X9 Protank will most likely be here by Thursday and I have ordered a bunch of heating cores to go with these. I also got some EVOD Atomizers because I thought they would look better on the pretty ego style batteries I got for running around town. I'm a little too girly to tote around VAMO everywhere. Still, I hate vaping these little kr808 ones with my fabulous new toys taunting me. Did I do something wrong or is it just the crappy carto that came with my X8? Even though I bought a bunch on heating cores, I didn't buy enough to start going through one or two a day!!

Vamo on
Press and hold right small button for 3 seconds
It will read ohms of X8
If Vamo displays anything between 1.5 - 3.0 X8 is being read.
If Vamo displays 9.9 is is not seeing a coil

X-8 uses standard length Cartomizers.
the included cartomizers from Fasttech are Very cheaply made and fail easily.
I have purchased a few of their DCT tanks and had to replace the cartos in each within a day or so.
Get Boge or Smoke pre-punched 35mm Cartomizers in 2.0-2.5ohm for replacements - both brands are good

With lighter juices these will last several tank fills.

Your Evods should do great and will also work on the vamo

I'll go check and see if it is reading. I don't know how to do anything with the vamo yet except how to turn it on and change the voltage. I am sure it's the tank, though. It isn't working on the X6, either. I just thought maybe I accidentally might have done something to the tank itself. The first couple of times I trided to remove it I screwed the tank up and the core stayed in place. I guess I didn't have the bottom screw tight.

X8 tanks - Nice. X8 cartos - junk. I'm using the same set up as you. Vamo V3 from Fastech with mostly X8 tanks but with Boge cartos from Surevapes (free shipping over $10) . I bought a Dremel to cut my Boge tank cartos, the next day they started carrying the laser drilled. I'm sure they will work just fine. I have used hundred of Boges and never had a dud. That works for me you may find something that works better for you depending on a lot of factors. I will say though the Boges are a fairly safe bet at the very least. The X8 tanks use the regular not the XL's for a smooth plane on top. However, the top fill screw does get in the way of vase like drip tips. Slim fitting drip tips? The top screw will hit your lip occasionally. If it's an issue, go with the XL cartos. They don't look as sleek though.

With the X8's I've found if you pull the carto top down in the tube to fill in from the top fill screw it works much better. Punching the e-liquid with the carto full in there is not much air flow and the juice will leak at the top screw hole where your trying to fill. So it's much different than a regular tank. It still looks cool though. My only advice would be proper filling with a new carto. I use the syringe method. It's super quick. There are a few you tube vids describing. (there are other methods though).
