First post... two months in

Hi,

My first post here, I've been lurking forever. I am 32 and was a pack a day smoker since 16... 1/2 my life I guess! I have tried nearly everything I coudl find over the years, the patch 3 or 4 times, gum, etc. etc. I was only able to quit for a few days at a time, with major problems. It was all that was on my mind all of the time. I did quit for several months with Ziban, but the drug was making me so ill I couldn't eat... Lost about 15 pounds, but not in a good way..

Anyway, a few months ago I saw an ad for e cigs, and had a look. I was interested, and the price had come down a lot since last I saw, so I decided to order one. I started vaping about 2 1/2 months ago, trying to use it with cigarettes. I slowly cut down on my analogs until one day I just said... Let's see how long I can go without a 'real' cigarette. That was 2 months ago.

My wife and best friend both smoke, and smoke around me all the time. It used to be tempting, but not so much I ever reached for one.

I bought a 510, and am very happy. I started with carts, switched to dripping a few weeks ago. I would like to thank everyone on this forum... I leared a lot of tips and tecniques that have helped me along my way. I just need to get my wife on board and we will be a happy vaping family.\

Well I thought it was the 901 with less throat hit and the 801 with more throat hit. Got that off a review i read some time back. And again, i thought it was the 901 that comes in pink and red and purple. can't remember.

Yep, I believe you;re correct. I know the 901 comes in lots of colors if you shop around. Dse-901 that link is to the place I buy my attys from. I just looked and they're out of pink starter kits right now but I'm sure they'll get more.
Cheers

Congratulations! Glad you finally decided to join in the conversation. I hope the wife comes around. I was the same way trying to quit; smoked since I was 13 and I'm 38 now. I was able to quit for 6 months once but I dreamed about smoking every single night for the entire time, it was horrible! I finally decided I'd rather die too young but happy and relaxed than live to a ripe old miserable age.

And then I found e-cigarettes. The End.
