Hi!! I am posting for the first time. I am so happy I found this site. I quit smoking and started vaping on February 3rd of this year and haven't looked back since. I love vaping, it's so hard to believe that i used to think cigarettes actually tasted good. Ugh!! I am happy that a site like this exists, for me I love that I can see reviews of vendors and products before I buy. I have spent (and will be spending) alot of money on juice and hardware so reading honest reviews from others like me is awesome!!

Also, forgot to add that I am currently using the (regular?) ego, but I am looking for an upgrade right now. I would like to get a VV. I'm not sure what to get so I will be reading some reviews on here to help me out with that.

Hi and welcome! A good start out VV just to see if you like it is an Ego Twist or Ego Spinner. I'm actually more excited about the KGO VV, but can't order one here due to lithium battery restrictions, so I can't recommend it on the basis of actual usage. (I do prefer the KGO to the Ego, though.)

welcome to ecf and vaping. this forum has helped so many people! i just love it here. congrats on your victory over the stinkies! today is 5 months for hubby and i. i smoked for 45 years...so if i can do it, anyone can do it.....and you have done it! you will get lots of help here.
The Joyetech Twist or Vision Spinner are good. I use Joyetech eGo Twists that are 1000mAh (that's the battery capacity) and really like 'em. Got mine at Cignot one of the Forum Suppliers (that's a good place to start if you're new and want to find reputable vendors). Many vendors carry the VV Twists and Spinners but I've had really great customer service from Cignot myself.
And since the Twist and Spinner are eGo style, they should work with your current eGo attachments (tanks or cartos or such). I'm happy with mine. Get about six to seven hours on a charge and being able to adjust the warmth of the vapor is really nice.

I have been looking into the ego twist along with several others. Thanks for the suggestions on the VV. I am hoping to stay under 80 bucks when I buy one now. I have already asked my fiancee for a new setup for my birthday (August 1st), he said the limit would be $200. I am thinking about going with the Provari or something similar when my bday rolls around. I am so excited. Just wanted to get something to hold me over until then, so i will probably just go with the Twist. Once again, Thank you!!!!
its a funny point you made about how you used to think cigarettes tasted good. i had a cigar about a week after i started vaping (cigars are why i took up the habit) and i threw it out after a couple puffs. it tasted disgusting! then i instantly gave the rest of my cigars to my friend and i know for a fact ill never have another vaping is the way to go, no question

I've been here two months and been active enough to be labeled "super member" (not sure what that means, able to leap forums in a single bound?) and still haven't scratched much of the surface. It's a big place!
That shouldn't be a problem. You can get one battery for under $30 easy. If you have an eGo style battery now, you won't have to replace any of the widgets you attach to it. It'll have exactly the same threads. The only difference, really, will be the voltage knob at the bottom. You may or may not need to get a charger but that depends on what you have. Ideally, you get the "rapid charger" for the brand of battery but that's not expensive either. You may already have it depending on which eGo you're using. Many are the same even though vendors often "brand" them with their own labels. You buy off a website? Have a link? You may just need to buy one VV battery to play with and see what you think. That'd be cheap. Then decide if you want another or whichever way you want to go next.
Yeah, Provaris, supposed to be top of the line and really popular with many folks here. I looked at the price, went "yikes!" and ran away.
There are some really cool advanced PVs out there like Provari and eVic and such. I decided to stay with my Twists a while. "Advanced" is for the advanced. I'm... well, not a noob but not a veteran. Intermediate? I've decided I want to play with mixing my own flavors instead of jumping to a fancier kit.
Like over at Mount Baker Vapor (and others) you can buy unflavored liquid and flavorings you can add yourself. Mix up whatever you want.

Congrats!! Do yourself a favor and at least look at a Vamo. They are VV/VW and can handle two battery configurations which changes the size if you don't want something huge. I'm a couple months in and my spinners, ego-t and ego VV devices all sit in the back of my drawer now that I found the Vamo. You can find kits for around $60. If you do go that route spend the extra $5 for stainless steel over the chrome. You will get a lot of opinions if you ask and you will see the Vamo and Provari crop up the most. At least thats what I noticed.
