Salutations all! This would be my first post, as I am considering which items to purchase later tonight.

I've done alot of research on which brands are reliable, sites that are scams, the truth about amount of puffs per cartridge, etc. TBH, I've been reading for the past 2 days. But, last night, I found a site that was highly appraised after countless of searches, no bad reviews or comments (and I think the worst one I read was that a part of an e-cigar was melted upon arrival, but the customer contacted the company and sent him a new one, no questions asked).

Anyways, the Company is Bestecig (I wasn't sure if I could post the link, but you can search it on google). I looked at there products, saw things I liked and didn't like. First thing that came into mind was, "This is from China, so the assembly or parts could be made out of cheap material", which was making me uneasy. But, the comments, posts, and testemonies of those who are proud owners of their products have praised them over and over, like having multiple models and the reliability of the parts (someone posted that his atomizer had still been effective even after reaching the 2 month period, which either makes me think he doesn't smoke very often, or that's one durable piece of ****!). Also, people were brutally honest about the "standard puffs per cartridge (I've seen sites claiming 350-400, and then finding out by actual users that its roughly 1/3 of that, being around 150-250). For my choice, it claims 100per cart, which is kinda small. But, HONESTY is key (btw, I am aware that there are cartridges that can hold more, or different models which larger/longer bodies). I'm not comparing a mini BE401 to a BE501, because then it would be obvious which is going to have more.

What I ultimately settled on is:
-Mini E-Cigarrette BE401 (which includes 1 Atomizer, 2 Batteries, 1 AC Charger/Power Cord, and 5 Cartridges of choice flavor)
-Mini E-Cigarette Cartridges 10-pack / 5 carts per pack
-BE401 Atomizer x1
-BE401 Battery x1
-BE401 Car / USB Chargers
-e-liquid 35ML of choice flavor

The grand total of all this is $100-110 including shipping, which is the main reason why I turned in this direction. Highly promoted items like SmokeEverywhere, Greensmoke, or Smoke-51 have starting kits that include the bare essentials that will leave you needing to place another order the following week, not to mention that they’re kits start at $80-150+. So, in short, I save money if I drop all the extra’s and just get the starter kit from Bestecig, or I can spend the same amount for a Smoke-51 kit and get double, if not more for my money.

The items above are the planned parts I’m ordering later tonight, but this is my question:

Does anyone have this model in particular, or have knowledge of this for the least, but “How many Atomizers should I initially buy or am I okay with 3 for the time being? Also, “How many batteries would you recommend?”

I’m completely aware that defects can happen, which is the reason why I’m preparing ahead of time (a replacement would be ordered free of charge if this happened). But, what would be a good amount to have in stock with the listed items above?

I appreciate your time and thanks in advance for any helpful responses. It would be nice if trolls would stay away as I’m only seeking serious and experienced answers.

Have a good one! Hope to be vaping with you all soon.

Quick reply - A lot of people like the 401. Best E-cig is a pretty good company. What seems to be running up your total cost is the 10 pack of cartridges, I'm assuming pre-filled. You're going to eventually use juice (we all do), so dump them if they're pre-filled and order some blanks (I would think 15 or 20 blanks would last quite a while if you re-fill them/rinse them out, etc.). The other stuff on your list looks pretty good.

Take a look at the various polls that have been posted about people's favorite device. Just currently, the 510 is way ahead of the pack, so you might want to think about that before jumping in on the 401. Personally, I use the Janty Stick and have been for about 4months now as my one and only device.

I have owned a penstyle (not sure WHAT it was) a 510 and a VaporKing from Vapor4Life. The VaporKing is head and shoulders above the others in my opinion, no muss, no fuss - just put on the cartomizer and go! And the customer service is top notch - you will not find a better vendor then Steve anywhere! Just crazy good service! If you are still looking for that perfect e-cig, check out what they are saying on the V4L forum! I only wish I had found it before investing hundreds of dollars on ecigs that are now gathering dust. Vapor4Life - e-cigarette-forum.com • The place for electronic cigarette reviews, news and chat

We are a friendly group - feel free to jump right in and ask questions! ;)

I know this topic has been dead for quite sometime, and I'd just like to thank the few who did add their insight to my question.

Just an update, I did switch things around and ended up buying the bare essentials, which worked out perfectly in my favor. My basic kit was...

-BE/M401 Intro Kit (2 Batteries, 1 Atomizer, 5 pre-filled cartridges, and an AC Charger)
-Extra Battery x1
-Extra Atomizer x1
-E-Liquid 35ML x1
-5-pack of blank cartridges x3

I recieved my package exactly 4 days later (including the weekend), and just like everyone said from the bestecigs.com review, "...Expect a big ball of bubble wrap."

Well, I was in vape heaven, often referring to ECF to pick up tips and mods to help improve my e-cig experience. However, I did run into a few complications...

1. While cleaning my atomizer, I accidentally pulled out the wick from unter the metal bridge, thinking it was cart filler that had gotten stuck. Well, I did some digging on ECF and found others who were still able to vape without it. But, for me, it refuses to work properly with a cart, so it's been dubbed my dripping atomizer for when I'm at home / surfing the net.

2. I can't recall the instance, but it could be a number of scenario's that caused the e-juice to spill past the atomizer and into the battery sensor. It happened to two of my batteries, so now I'm literally left with one.

All in all, it still works wonderfully, and since one battery usually lasts me about 8+ hours, I'm not stressing.

Lastly, I'd just like to add that I took some of the other posters advice and purchased a Joye 510 which came in today. I'm proud to say that I havn't put the sucker down. It's literally an adult pacifier.

With that said, I'll take my 510 business to another thread :]

Take care guys and thanks again!

Ignore the V4L banner people trying to sell you on the "cart-o-mizer". If you go back in their posts you will see every one is about how great the VK (vapor king) for V4L is.

The 401/501/801/901 are the smart choices..

I wish this site would looking into these V4L accounts trolling the newbie section to sell product!!

I believe you mean the 510, not 501?

Dubski, I have found that the more aggressive the advertising, the worse the product is. I went for the greensmoke initially, based on that, and was relatively happy, as a naive noob-vapor, but after going with the 510 I am much happier, although the 510 is more high-maintenance. The GS is a good product, in theory, but you are roped into having to buy their expensive cartomizers.

I have no experience with the 401, 801, 901 or other PVs, but I can say that you made the right move. Not necessarily that you got the perfect PV for your needs, but that you got a model and are now learning all the ins and outs. You may end up trying another model. You may end up modifying yours. What's important is that you are actively in it, and are learning. In this world people don't often get a model and just stick with that alone.

Number of puffs per cart, and how it translates into number of analogs, is not a valid thing to think about really. It all depends on your vaping methods, and the strength of the juice. Vaping and smoking are VERY different. Smoking is lighting up an analog and then generally being committed to finishing it, and if you are at work that usually means doing this outside, quickly, etc. Vaping is when you want, wherever you want, as much or as little as you want, then stop. My vaping habits do not have a lot of similarity with my smoking habits.

What's important in the beginning is to learn, enjoy and come gradually to an understanding of your vaping needs, which will be different than others, in general.

So welcome aboard! Perhaps you will learn enough to help us out!

Thanks much Kurt! I agree with everything that you've said, from the 510 being more maintenance, to calculating the amount of carts to analogs. Just to clarify, I didn't go after the flashy/gaudy websites being advertised here for my latest purchase. TBH, I'm actually unsure how I found this other company (or rather, "Middleman"), but the company is called "Liberty Electronic Cigs" based in Sparks, Nevada.

As always, I conducted research on the 510, just to make certain it would be perfect (or to my standard) for me and my habits, after experimenting with the M401 model. I also tried to find information on the company through ECF reviews, but unfortunetly, I had no luck. Pretty much had to rely on trust at this point, but what really sold me was the customer service. I'm not the biggest fan of making online purchases, but they have a representative with a vast amount of knowledge, 24-hours a day ready to answer any questions/concerns (in my case, had a processing issue, but was literally cleared up in less than 5-mins).

Long story short, basic Joye 510 kit with 2 batteries and 2 atomizers, 5 pre-filled carts, and charger for $49.99 flat, free shipping in the US. Took 2 days (Tuesday-Thursday) for me to recieve my order in the mail, along with all my other bills QQ

Lucky for me, I still have about 25ML of juice left from my first purchase. But some of the information is a tad misleading. Supposedly 1ML = 16MG, 1MG = 1 Drop, and 1 Drop = 1 Analog. I find this highly unlikely, but for the sake of saving my breathe when explaining to friends, I just tell them what they want to hear. Personally, I think they're more intrigued with the blue LED if anything.

Upon recieving my parcel, I vaped up one of the pre-filled carts and immediately went out to my local market to get a box of Lipton PTB's, which I'll have to recommend to all newbies to replace the poly-whatever filler that typically comes stock with pre-fills or blank carts. The difference it makes with the amount of drops a cart can hold, to the amazing vaper quality is godly. I even replaced my M401 carts with the material and now both draw like champions.

Well, my plan backfired, as I was going to post the link to a helpful 510 thread for anyone who has questions, or generally wants to learn more about that particular PV. But, turns out I can't post just yet, so if you're interested, search for it. Title is "Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Your 510" by Kristin.

Anyways, good luck to you all.

I don't think they are trolls at all.
I think they are actually just people who truly love their KR808D-1 models.

I graduated from an NJoy NPro (RN4081) to a 510 model.
I am quite happy with my 510 and have stocked up big time just in case.

But if the ban does not come down like a hammer, I will be thinking seriously of looking into the KR808D-1 because I believe very strongly that it will resolve my one main issue, which is wicking problems.

I have tried the PTB and the blue foam and the straw mod, but the design of the KR808D-1 cartomizer just makes sense from every angle possible, except ease of refilling and cost. And the cost issue, while a bit more expensive than refilling 510 cartridges or dripping, is not THAT bad really.

In short, I have no doubt that those that love the KR808D-1 love it for good reason.
The cartomizer design of this device has many obvious benefits for wicking.

And this is all coming from a dedicated 510 owner.

The link Dubskie refers is below, in my signature.

D - you'll be happy with the 510. And I have actually used Libertyecig.com for several purchases. He's a bit more expensive and I haven't found any coupon codes, but free shipping and very reliable and usually has stuff in stock! :D

Hope you are still here. Was looking for some feedback on BE. One battery lasting 8+ hours sounds rather amazing. I get about 1 1/2 on my Smoore M401 batts. Are you sure about this? What kind of hours are you getting on your 510 batts?
