So this is what I will be ordering. Any recommendations, or do you think I am set with this? I know I can get a starter kit, but I really want the purple combination. I'm excited to make my purchase today, but all these choices and combinations are so confusing. I use the 808D, but need something with longer battery life. Thanks for any tips and suggestions!

Joye eGo Cartomizer eGo XL Cartomizer - Black Empty 5 Pack

Hmmm...

I have a few thoughts. First of all, do you have a syringe to go with your needle? Is it the right kind? And what are you going to do with it (the needle, that is.)

I think that one battery is not enough. What if you get a dud or if it dies? Those things are unpredictable... I'd get a single Riva; it's very inexpensive, has higher voltage and provides backup.

As for cartomizers and atomizers, well, that's very subjective, of course. I didn't much care for the eGo cartomizers and I"m not a fan of atties, so I'm biased... But I would order a box of Boge 2.0Ω (or 2.5Ω) 510 cartos, especially since you're accustomed to cartos; 510 Boges are much better then anything kr808.

That's for starters. In the future, I'd order a cone-shaped (type A) atomizer and a mega smart cart or two (if you like atomizers). Maybe an eGo-t (type B) atty and some tanks? Or a 510-T atomizer?

susden-- i think you'll need tank cartridges to go with the tank atomizer...just be prepared that the tank systems can mute the juices' flavor a little...so even though they'll hold a lot of juice, the taste is different than it is in a cartomizer. I haven't tried the ego brand cartomizer, but the boge cartomizers are what I use most often on my 510 devices. Another vendor also makes an excellent 510 cartomizer -- pm me if you want the name.
And I agree with Katya completely that you'll want 2 batteries...I vape heavily and can use 2 ego t batts during a day...
and the ego won't deliver the same kind of voltage you're used to in your 808's -- it'll be kind of a cooler vape with an ego. A Riva will start at 3.7, and ego around 3.5, while your 808's start at 4.2...

Yes, I do have a syringe. Using it to fill my cartomizers. I have a really thin needle, so I needed a thicker one.

I think that one battery is not enough. What if you get a dud or if it dies? Those things are unpredictable... I'd get a single Riva; it's very inexpensive, has higher voltage and provides backup.

I have a nice collection of my 808s and I'm in the process of building a MOD with an Protected 18350 battery. Well see how that goes. I will definitely check out the Rivas next time.

I heard the Boges are really good. I've been interested in trying out atomizers. Why don't you like atties? Thank for the suggestions. I couldn't wait, I placed my order already. Thankfully, they are based in San Diego, and I won't have to wait too long for my package. No doubt, I will be placing more orders in the near future.

I don't know. I'm a carto/tank person.

But it's just me. There are plenty of people who love atties; you may be one of them. I just found that most of them need modding in order to perform well.

You have to figure out what works for you. Like you said, it's not your last oder.

Good luck and happy vaping!

May I suggest

1) a 510 to 808 adapter to used your KR808 cartomizers . Liberty FLights 510 to 901 is supposed to work

http://www.liberty-flights.com/product.asp?id=38

2) A purple cone just because you like purple.

http://www.liberty-flights.com/product.asp?id=42

3) Some Boge 2.0 cartos as already suggested. (work under cones)

4) Delrin drip tips for all your attys.

Apologies - I thought I was in a general thread. Liberty flights should have the same stuff. I'll find the links.
