First Recipe (Menthol)

Well the goods arrived in the mail and I created my first recipe.

4.5 mls PG based tobacco @ 24mg (Northern Vapour)
1.5 mls VG
20 drops Flavourart arctic menthol

6.6 mls at 18 mgs

ratio 75/25 PG/VG ratio for base, then add flavouring. Tastes a little lighter than Cameo but stronger than Craven Menthols. It has a decent throat hit, cool refreshing with good vapour. I nice cool lingering feeling like a menthol should, not a peppermint/candy taste.

Vaped on a standard 510 and 510 direct passthru. Enjoy

here`s my DIY menthol mix.....

7.5mls of flavorless 36mg
1.5mls of VG
20mls of PG
5 drops of Loranns creme de menthe
15 drops of diluted menthol crystals in vodka

makes a 30ml @ 9mg roughly for those who vape the low stuff

Thanks, Neon. I'm not interested in menthol or Lorann flavors, since the percentage to use for Lorann flavors might be different (and probably is different) from FlavourArt flavors.

I'm trying to figure out the percentage of FlavourArt flavoring to use in my mixes. Many say 1 to 2% and others use much more. I can't see how 2% would be enough flavoring. I just mixed up four 120mL bottles and used 13% flavoring, but I might find that I can add a lot more base liquid to lower that percentage. Guess I'll know after this all sits for a week or two.

The four bottles I mixed are: oRYental 4 (tastes like RY4 to me), Caramel, Nut Mix, and Apple. Then I'll mix them in the future to come up with the same flavor I've been vaping from my favorite supplier. The taste of my first 10mL sample is almost exactly the same flavor, but it needs to steep for another week or two to know for sure.

Here is my DON'T-DIY list (DDIY?). I tried mixing flavors from HV, PG from my pharmacy, and NIC 60mg from Tim (GH1). Here is what I have tried so far:
- Caramel Ultimate (LorAnn)
- Caramel Candy (FA)
- DK-Tob (?)
- Tobacco (FA)
- Dulce De Leche (FA)
- bubble gum (LorAnn)
I was hoping to get at least DK-Tob taste something similar to DK-Tab (which is my favorite these days), but it does not. It smells similar but has a bad after taste. Guess what, after failing to make it, I ordered 2 bottles of dk-tab from vapeables and theirs has the same bad aftertaste. Now that is weird because the one I am currently vaping is from them and does not give that nasty after taste. Anyway, so far I only have not so good DIY experience.
Switch: Where do you get your dk-tab from?
Anyone else using it and from where and which brand?
