Hello,

I think I already screwed up....Instead of unscrewing the bottle, I pulled on it, stretching the tube. Now the bottle doesn't bit snugly into the device...the tube kind of has an "S" shape between the bottle and the top that feeds into the atomizer.

I got one of those bottom feeder atomizers that I didn't know how to prime, so I put some juice into the top and got it all over myself. Finally cleaned it up and screwed it in...and it works...but not a lot of vapor. I'm using BBW Maple Tobacco which I noticed didn't produce much vapor to start with, so that might be the cause.

When I press the button, sometimes I don't hear anything for a few seconds, which must mean that I didn't feed the juice into the atty properly. I'm afraid I pulled on the tube and ruined it so that the juice doesn't feed easily because it has an S shape, and the bottle isn't sitting straight up in the device....

Dunno, it seems to be working ok. The taste is a bit harsh and makes me cough....I'm using a 1.5 atty from clouds of vapor. Maybe that's the reason? Or maybe cuz the juice is 6 months old...I don't know.

Maybe this atomizer takes a while to break in...I'm just kinda freaking out cuz I pulled on the tube right away and am afraid I ruined it.

I haven't vaped in a few months...I "relapsed." And so I got a Reo to start again and I'm worried that I just screwed up this great device.

If anyone can understand what I've just written and can offer any suggestions, I would appreciate it.

It's hard to "ruin" a REO, so relax. I'm thinking that maybe the cap of your bottle (that stays hooked to the tube even when you unscrew the little bottle) maybe just got pulled down a little too far on the tube. Hold the bottom of the tube in one hand and slide the lid back up past the part you're calling s-shaped. Then put your bottle on it and screw it on straight. Make sure you get it started right and that it screws all the way on. It should sit (straight) on the bottom of the mod. I think it should be fine. Make sure the bottom of the tube is almost touching the bottom of the bottle.

The atty....hmmmm. I use 1.5 ohm attys all the time. Maybe you flooded it a little. Take it off and blow it out. Once you put it back on, gently squeeze the bottle just until you see a tiny bit of liquid in the catch cup. Vape away. Some atomizers need a little breaking-in period.

Someone else will be along shortly to offer a little more help, I'm sure. Meantime, like I said....it's impossible to "ruin" a REO, so relax. You'll be an old pro before you know it. BTW, congratulations on getting a REO....you bought the best there is. And welcome to Reoville! Hi, I'm Jan.

Hi Bob :)

Hello,

I think I already screwed up....Instead of unscrewing the bottle, I pulled on it, stretching the tube. Now the bottle doesn't bit snugly into the device...the tube kind of has an "S" shape between the bottle and the top that feeds into the atomizer.
No worries...just slide the cap further up the tube and try again. Let me know how it goes. :)

I don't have any experience with these, ..... Can you tell us which one you have? How much juice did you put in it...like how many drops and when you got juice on you, where did it come from?

When I press the button, sometimes I don't hear anything for a few seconds, which must mean that I didn't feed the juice into the atty properly. I'm afraid I pulled on the tube and ruined it so that the juice doesn't feed easily because it has an S shape, and the bottle isn't sitting straight up in the device....
Sometimes, when an atty is flooded you won't hear the sizzle you expect. Don't worry...you didn't ruin it. :)

Dunno, it seems to be working ok. The taste is a bit harsh and makes me cough....I'm using a 1.5 atty from clouds of vapor. Maybe that's the reason? Or maybe cuz the juice is 6 months old...I don't know.

So first things first...you can relax. You didn't ruin anything. Just take a moment, big breath and lets start over.

So remove the battery, atomizer and bottle. Use a napkin or towel to mop up any stray juice. Lay the mod down in front of you so that the mod is on its back with the top facing your left. Using your right thumb and forefinger grab the bottom of the feed tube. Using your left thumb and forefinger, grab the cap and slide it towards the atomizer connector. Let me know how it goes.

reo.jpgreo2.JPGThanks for all the replies. I'll follow the instructions. I got the hybrid bottom feeding atomizers from clouds of vapor...I used to use the ikenvape ones which were great, but their website seemed to be down, so I thought getting a bottom feeder atty would be better. Did I get the wrong ones?

Here are pics of what it looks like

oh crap...I got 3 of those attys....now I guess I'll have to order more from ikenvape....first I bought the wrong batteries by mistake and it took 2 weeks to get them replaced...now this! I guess its back to analogs until I figure this out ugh...

See if he will trade them for the regular Vapage hybrids. I have heard that they have a hole in the bottom and will work on REOs. I wish they hadn't named those others "bottom feeders" It is only a bottom feeder atty for the Vapage mod, and can short out other mods.

I can stick a few cartos in the mail to you if you'll PM me your addy.

I didn't get anything from Vapage...I got the batteries and attys from Clouds of Vapor. Ikenvape was down at the time so I couldn't get the good attys from them. I suppose I have some old 510s lying around and will try to use those in the meantime. I'll order the Ikenvape today since they should be back in business.

Anyone see anything wrong with the pics I posted? Is that how it's supposed to look?

Oh...now looking at the atty, they are Vapage....I will remove it asap...hope I didn't do any damage to the Reo??

COV sells the Vapage hybrids. It looks like they are currently out of the regular (non-bottom feeder) 1.5 ohms, but it doesn't hurt to ask if they will exchange them when they get them in.

Ikenvape's website is still down, but it should be up soon. You might want to try some Cisco attys, from avidvaper.com. If you want a 510, his 2.0 ohm 510's are excellent attys. LR510 Low Resistance Atomizer 2.0 ohm (Cisco Spec) - Avid Vaper

The second picture, you need to adjust the tube, like Rhapsodies Fire instructed. :)

The cap isn't attached to the tube. It has a hole drilled in the cap so that it can slide up and down the tube. Your cap slid down too far. Just follow Rhap's directions to slide it back up closer to the top.

Value Vapor sells affordable, good quality LR DSE 510 atomizers and they ship very quickly. These attys are great for beginners.

You got your feed tube all straightened out? :)

yeah, I think I just over-reacted. Pretty obvious to just push up the cap DUH!. I just ordered the Ciscos, which I used to use before I found Ikenvape. I think Cisco's have a kind of metallic taste. Ikenvape is tops for me.

In my rush to get the Reo going, I found that I didn't have any more of my fav BBW juices, so I'm going to make an order right now, so that when the attys arrive everything will be all ready to go.

I'll post an update in a few days. Thanks again for all the help!!

No problem! We all love to help.

And over-reaction can be common and understandable. It's happened to all of us at least once. I just about went through the roof when I accidentally pulled the feed tube off my first mini a year ago. I look forward to seeing your update. Also, there was mention that IKV was taking email orders. I don't know this to be true as I've never ordered from him...just what I had heard. Might be worth a shot. Just know that the poor guy must be swamped so he might not respond right away. :)

It is pretty hard to hurt a REO, but if you are using the Vapage Bottom Feed atomizers, STOP!! They can short out your REO.

Not only can it short out your Reo it will push the carto connector center post down so far that it won't make a good connection with anything else you use. I learned the hard way. COV has Universal hybrid BF attys though that aren't suppose to do this. I plan to order some if he ever gets them in stock.
