Picked up my first REO off the classifieds, it was here Friday. Came with a reomizer and batteries, bottles some orings and an extra spring, It is a VV REO Grand. Been using it almost exclusively since yesterday, and wow, my gambit taste better in this than in any other rda I have tried. Also, where can you order rdas that are setup for bottom feeders, other than reomods.com? Think I will eventually have to spring for a regular Grand with the subohm kit. Really digging this thing so far.:) Also, is there a difference between a reomizer and a rm2?

Welcome.. I never had much luck with Gambit in non-genesis atties, never tasted right, I had the same issue with Grant's Vanilla Custard. Both great juices but way too dirty for silica or cotton. I hope you like it better than I did. And again welcome home, plate of brownies on the way.

I always found the apple too overpowering in other rdas I've tried, but in this I'm tasting the other flavors more.

The Reomizer is called the RM2 by many of us in Reoville because it's Reomizer 2 so we just shortened it to RM2. Keep your coils above 1.8 ohm with the VV Grand.

I see on the reomods website that the chip in the vv grand is from I believe 3.5 to 5.5 volts with a 15 watt limit, do you have any idea what the current limitations are?

I don't know for sure, it has been said but I don't remember. I usually keep my coils around 2 ohms to be safe. Works great on my VV Woodvil.

Congrats and welcome. I run my coils around 2 ohms in my VV grand too.

My go to is 29 ga wrapped around a .055" rod. It's just a hair smaller than 1/16" diameter and is about 13 wraps with a short Japanese organic cotton wick.

LOL, first thing I figured out yesterday, less is more when wicking. Not at all, what I have been used to.

Yes, short wicks are awesome. Here's my typical setup on my VVG:

Welcome new Reonaut!

You asked about the Reomizer and the RM2. I would like to clarify that just a little. Robert first came out with the Reomizer. It was a different RBA than the current RM2. Some of those might still be in use. They were discontinued, so no longer on site. As was said in previous posts the Reomizer 2, or RM2 is what is now available at reosmods.

The RM2 is offered in a LP version also. It is available for the LP (low profile) REO's. The LP REO's have a shorter drip well which allows the use of larger diameter RBA.

Check out this thread for suggestions on RBA's that will fit on the VV Grand:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/377836-reo-compatible-rbas.html

Here you can find information on the VV Grand: http://www.reosmods.com/images/usermanuals/grand.pdf

Check out the specs on the VV chip here:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/224539-vv-reos.html#post4150861

You mentioned a regular Grand with the sub-ohm kit. Technically there is no sub-ohm kit. New REO's from reosmods all have the new contacts made of beryllium copper and gold plated. Those contacts are also included in the rebuild kits at reosmods.

There are many threads with lots more information here:

Ya know... all this talk of a VV Grand... and no pictures yet?

And... welcome!

Well...uhm...uh...you're absolutely correct! But in my defense, I haven't been able to pry it outta my fingers long enough to take a pic:D
