Hello I'm trying to quit smoking so I'm going to switch to a ecig. After some research I'm still not 100% sure if this is all I need to buy so if anyone could let me know if I'm missing or like to recommend something it would be greatly appreciated.

So far I'm going to purchase:
Joye eGo-C Twist Variable Voltage 650mAh Battery
eGo Cone Adapter - Stainless
SmokTech Skinny Dual Coil Carto tank 1.5 ohm 3.5 mL - Black

Once I purchase all this and any e-liquid flavors will I be ready to go? Sorry for being such a newbie and thanks for any help!

The most recommended starter kit on the forum this last year was the MVS unit:

Recommend the Spinners and evods to start. The best stick battery is the iTaste 3.0, imho. Better toppers (clearos) include the Protanks, aerotanks and Nautilus. Carto tanks are hard to beat before RBA/RDA's. Good luck in your VapeQuest!

Hi and welcome to ECF!!

That is a great kit and you will be pleased :)

You will want extra cartos for your tank. I would recommend a pack of the single coil cartos to try as well. On an eGo style battery you may find that it drains quickly or has a little trouble powering dual coils. (quick version is two 3 Ohm coils make 1.5 Ohm resistance - takes twice as much power as a single 1.5 Ohm) Trying both will give you a good comparison to decide which you like the best and a good way to judge any difference to performance/battery life.

Hope this helps!

Good kit to start out with. You may not need the ego cone - it's cosmetic and is designed for a carto (without a tank). If you get a tank (carto or clearomizer), chances are it won't fit and you won't need it.

If you can, add a clearo to your list (an EVOD or T3S is, like, $7) for a comparison to the carto tank. Many find they like one over the other - personal taste, mostly, and you won't know until you try both.

Happy vaping and welcome to the tribe.

Definitely get two batteries. Evod bottom coil clearomisers are great to start with, if you can afford it go for the aspire dual coil clearo. They have been getting excellent reviews. 650 mah batteries will run out a lot quicker than 1100 or 1300 mah batteries. This will be the thing you will want to upgrade the quickest. Spinner batteries are great because you can select the voltage for a bit more oomph. Get a good selection of juice to try. Juice varieties and flavors are very hit and miss. Hope everything goes smoothly for you!!!

I'm a bit confused about the whole carto, tank, and clearomizer stuff. So if I buy a clearomizer will I still need to buy cartos?

No you would need coil heads if you got clearomizers no cartos. You will need one or the other though. The part with the wicking or filler and the little coil wire that gets hot to vaporize the juice will need periodic replacement as this part does wear out.

For cartos you need cartomizers and for clearos you need coil heads :)

Okay so If I go with a tank I need to buy multiple cartos, and if I go with a clearomizer I will need to buy multiple coil heads because both cartos and coil heads eventually wear out?

Correct! And there is not much worse than losing your last cart or coil head and not having spares on the ready! (Same reason its great to get 2 batteries - even if the second is little 450 mah ego - better than being without anything if something happens to your twist!)
