Hi Guys, I am new to the forum and to the world of vaping.

I'm 27, from the UK been smoking for over 10 ten years an I've just entered the vaping world 2 weeks ago after I bought an disposable E-cig from my local convenient store which was adverting equivalent to 40 pack of smokes for £5.99 ($9.00) My head said "just try it what is the worst that can happen?"
I was going out for drinks that night so I thought if this is going to work for me, this is the best time to test drive it because my smoking intake goes up while drinking. I was blown away with it, all night I survived without lighting up!

The next morning I woke up feeling really great, picked up my e-cig an found it was empty! I started getting worried thinking I never smoke 40 packs on analogs so how has this run out?

I Jumped onto the web trying to find out what I did wrong, an I found a guy on YouTube called GrimmGreen (you might know him haha) It felt like I was looking at the stairway's to heaven (lots of smoke and lights), he has totally immersed/changed my life.
The last week I've been watching pretty much all his video's (to the much annoyed other half).

I can't believe how this whole culture of vaping has passed me! People ask me what are you're hobbies and I've always said smoking - I've been doing it for over 10 years and LOVE lighting up, but my partner doesn't smoke & I want to quit; for the last 3 years I've been trying every NRT under the sun and it hasn't worked.

An now I think I've found the holy grail for me. Quitting while still having that great hit, blowing smoke(vaper) out and having devices that look like a Dr Who Sonic Screw Driver? Hello new HOBBY and healthier life!!

So last night after feeling a little bit more knowledgeable I bought my first Mod (eGO Twist 1000mAh), Tank (ProTank), and Juice (Trip Hammer - Strawberries & Champagne). - I think that is a good first step for a novice?

That is my life story out of the way, (I hope you're still awake?) I have a few quick questions:

Vaping intake: How much can you toot on these without OD'ing? (How often do people use it)
Next step for me: I haven't even got my first one yet, but I am already looking at other Mod's, Cartomizers ect. what would you recommend for me?

Sorry for the long winded post, I just feel like a little kid in a candy store, but I would like to say a BIG THANKYOU to GrimmGreen for sharing you're thoughts, knowledge to the world; keep up the amazing work dude, if you wasn't for you I wouldn't of been here or buying any of the stuff I just got.

An I hope to become part of the community here :)

Very cool. Welcome to my addiction. If you get to much nicotine you'll get a headache. Slow down. Increase the Mg per ml of nicotine if you're not getting enough. Decrease it if you're getting to much. Heavy smokers usually start with 24 Mg nic juice. Medium 18. Some light smokers start with 12. I vape a lot so I use a low nic juice. My son likes a higher nic juice because he like to take a few hits then put it away for a while.
Kanger and Iclear make great cartonizers and tanks.
Congrats on deciding to leave the cigs alone.

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Vaping!

An ego twist is a great starter. If it wasn't for a buddy of mine giving me a twist, I never would have tried vaping again after hating my first disposable ecig. A twist allows you to adjust voltage, giving you some control over the process. It was the ability to play around with my new toy that kept me interested. I feel that if it wasn't for that initial feature, I might have lost interest early on.

The protank is my favorite, and I'm sure you'll be happy with yours. After starting with vivi novas, then trying some iclear 16s and 30s, I found I like the bottom coils better. EVODs are nice, but the protank is better. It comes with a beauty ring to fit your twist, so it won't look so out of place on top of a skinny ego battery. The protank has some weight to it, so your setup is going to be top heavy.

If you're just looking to replace analogs, the setup you have is basically all you'll need. But you used the world "hobby", meaning you'll be taking this to the next level, again and again. My 2nd device was an eVic, and I love it. I liked that I didn't need to buy a battery charger since it can charge via its micro-usb port, which most other mods can't do. My next device was a mech mod however, so I had to buy a charger anyway. Out of my eVic, iTaste SVD, and Vamo v3, I like the eVic the best, and would recommend it for your 2nd device.

As far as other tanks, cartos, and the like are concerned, they are all so cheap to buy, why not pick up one or two of each and see what you like. It's hard to describe how a different setup will be experienced by different people, so I recommend trying out everything.

Welcome to the forum.
One of the most commonly asked questions is am i vaping too much?
The answer is probably not. My vaping device is still never out of my reach. And I've been vaping since January this year.
It just feels like you are vaping too much. The nicotine delivery system is different in a vaping device than that of a cigarette.
Most importantly listen to what your body is telling you.
It will keep you right.

Welcome! Honestly you started really well. I love my protank and the twists are great. You should probably start trying more juices. Variety is big for me at least and the more you like the taste the worse cigs will taste for you.

My upgrade from the twists was a tesla. I won't lie, the resemblance to a sonic screwdriver/ lightsaber was a slight drawing point.

I can't believe how this whole culture of vaping has passed me!

I hear you there. I've read many places that one out of five U.S. smokers have tried E-cigs. But I managed to never hear a word about them until about two weeks ago.

Bought a eGo 650 mHa battery with a CE4+ clearo and a USB charger for $30 and a 30mg bottle of Liqua chocolate 18mg nicotine for another $12 (have to add that Minnesota has a 70% added tax on all tobacco products and these are included so it was not that bad a price when you consider the taxes almost double the vendor's price). Took them home and was vaping within five minutes as the battery had some charge on it.

The Liqua chocolate is pretty weak in flavor, but I knew I found my answer to my pack a day habit after trying pretty much every way to quit that I could (including wellbutrin and chantix (sp?) and all the nicotine variations).

Spent too many hours that first week reading the threads here and watching youtube videos. Well perhaps not really too many hours as I learned so very much.

Was barely a week before I ordered some Kosher VG, a bottle of 60% nic juice, online, and a dozen flavors from the Lorann website.

:vapor:
wow that ran on. all I planned on posting was the first paragraph. :vapor::vapor:

My first reviewer was Smoken Joey (who I have stopped watching since he doesn't do mods/APV reviews, just cig-a-likes). Now I watch igetcha 69, PBusardo, and GrimmGreen.

For mods, it's all preference. You'll get as many people recommending you the Vamo as you will the eVic, and more than that recommending you the ProVari. It also depends on your price range, but as long as you stay of the cancer sticks, it doesn't really matter what you get. Cheers, and happy vaping! :D
