There was a pleasent surprise in the mail today, the Genesis 510 Complete Kit + a 20ml bottle of 14mg Menthol VG e-liquid had arrived. Here is a few pictures of the package and the device:

(I have no Idea how to post bigger pictures, but I guess clicking them expands them)

Initial Thoughts:
I was very anxious to get my hands on this and it didn't let me down. I've only taking about 10 puffs and yet it feels like this is the one that would get me off the analogs. Theres a good throat hit and the vapor production is quite adequate for me (bare in mind that I haven't figured out the right inhale duration yet).
I was happy to see that the atomizer had no "primer" in it. I've read on several posts that many companies use it and the first puffs can be a pain in the *bleep*. The first puff tasted like menthol and I had no burning taste whatsoever.

Lastly, I have to say that my girlfriend also liked this and she's gonna try to stop her habit with an e-cig also. Thats why I ordered a eGo-T also. I think i'm gonna keep the eGo-T as my own e-cig and let her have this. (She enjoyed the size of this more).

Final thoughts
I'm gonna go puff this bad boy! And to wrap things up, I'm gonna recommend this kit to anyone who just wants a simple device, small device and good device to get them off the analogs. This isn't for everyone but neither is a ProVari

It looks like you have a cartomizer style two piece ecig. Cartomizers don't have primer, only attys do. If you decide to try something other than a carto, just blow it out into the sink a couple of time until you don't see and drops of clear liquid coming out. Fill it and vape after that.

If you find yourself feeling tied to a charge, you might want to investigate ecig models that use 650mah batteries and up. 100mah equals about an hour of vaping. Yours is a 510 180mah model. That should give you 1 1/2 to 2 hours of vaping on a charge. That's acceptable for home use, but you can get 10 hours from a 1000mah eGo battery. Two of those can take you through one day and well into the next, should you be away from home. Your cartos will fit right into the eGo batts, since they share the same 510 thread.

You can also use your charger cable with a USB adapter in your cigarette lighter auto socket. That's really good for vacation trips or long drives.

Thank you for the info. And yeah, I ordered a eGo-T with a 650mAh battery (2 of them).

If this is what you bought, Genesis Electronic Cigarette and E-Liquid. electronic cigarette 510 kit then it is a 510 which refers to the threading used to connect the atty/cartridge to the battery. If you deside to look into upgrades for that kit, I'd suggest the Boge SR (standard resistance) cartomizers. Some find the atty/cartridge to be a bit troublesome.

As far as your eGo-T is concerned, same applies with it. Some have had trouble with the tank system leaking and generally poor performance. Again, a LR (low resistance) Boge carto at 2.0 ohm is a good vape. Good luck to both of you!

It is like a Joye 510 but may be one of the many clones.

Smart choice getting manual batteries - the 510 manuals are fully sealed metal on the threaded end so you can't damage or kill them with juice leaks. And manuals make it easier to get a good hit. Most users of slim 510 people use Boge 3 ohm cartomizers on it for everyday vaping, and with a sealed manuals you can use a 510 drip tip on the atomizer to try new juices. In the cartomizers most use high PG juices which are thin and move well through the stuffing. I use 80PG/20VG and I also avoid all dark, opaque or cloudy liquids that drop flavoring sediment in the stuffing (degrades a carto too quickly). A cartomizer needs no atomizer and has its own built in coil but has a limited life - I can get about 10 days use out of a Boge.

Thank you dormouse, that cleared some things! I just have to say that you people here are very kind. I was very hesitant on writing the initial post, because I thought many of the "vets" would come here mocking me on my choice, but that didnt happen so I thank you all here.

That's the last thing you have to worry about. Our goal when we started posting here is the same as yours- to get off the cigs. If you have any questions about how something works, or you get confused- ask. Better to do that than get frustrated and go back to the cigs. We all want to help you do that because that's what people here helped us do.

to throw more confusion into the mix... i prefer 1.5 ohm dual coil cartomizers myself on my egot batteries. the cartomizers last quite a while lifespan wise, and are dirt cheap compared to ego atomizers, not to mention produce tons of vapor/flavor.

the pg in juice apparently has some antimicrobial (i believe, i keep reading that from time to time) properties, so you shouldn't need to clean the devices on an hourly basis. at least all my drip tips still seem clean, i rinse them every few days just for the heck of it though.

And dont forget the second goal is to create another person just as addictied to the hobby (vs the additction) as the were addicted to the analogs :)

To the OP... you will be happy with those, let us know how the eGO-T works out for you. Im looking at that as my next upgrade from KR808 and 270 mah batt.

Well, that's true! Everyone in my real life thinks I had some sort of psychotic break and set up some kind of mini Breaking Bad lab. Only the people on the forum understand me!
