I'm a UK university student on a high-stress music course and am really struggling not to start smoking at the minute: some of my flatmates do and it's
getting more and more tempting but it's expensive and I play a wind instrument so need my lungs to be working at full capacity... I think my teachers would kill me if I took up smoking!
:p

I've been looking at e cigs and nicotine-free options and obviously, being a student, price is a massive factor.

I've found the yescigs compact starter kit which seems a reasonable price and the ENjuice nicotine free liquid and was wondering if anybody had any experience with either brand, and if they're compatible with each other? And is there anything else I should be looking at/need to know?

Thanks! Mya :)

Greetings and welcome to the forum. Have you smoked before, or are you trying to bypass cigarettes and go straight to vaping?

Starter kits like the eGo mentioned above can be ok, but a lot of vapers eventually graduate to something more sophisticated such as the MVP v2.0 mentioned near the top. More sophisticated = more powerful = potentially more satisfying vape experience.

Another inexpensive yet advanced product is the iTaste VV V3. This is just the battery part of an E-Cig, btw. You would also need to get an atomizer to go with it (such as a clearomizer or cartomizer etc).

I don't know the vendors available to you in the UK, but the above recommendations (ego, iTaste V3, iTaste MVP) are all great e-cigs for a beginner/intermediate vaper. I highly recommend AVOIDING cigarette-sized batteries. They will prove to be inadequate for your purposes.

I concur with what others have said. If want to start where most of us did, an eGo twist with a decent tank/clearomizer would be a good start. Think about this though; if you think you will enjoy it and actually get into it you might want to do the upgrade first to save your time and money. As has been mentioned the MVP2 starter kit is very reasonable and also very user friendly. It should be able to keep you going for a good while even if you feel like needing more, it can handle a decent bit more than the basic eGo ever could.

Hi MyaO.

I haven't got time to write much just now, but if you want an e-cig in the UK, you'll do well to ask for advice before buying.
Why? Because you will get ripped off as fast as you can say Prestissimo ma non troppo.

Let me say, before anything else, the kit you are considering is from a company that thinks £2.49 is acceptable for one blank cartridge. It is NOT. The cost of a blank is 80p-£1.00

have a look on here.

Myepack.co.uk

if you need more help, please ask.

I can empathise with your situation as a graduate/masters of 2 of the world's greatest music conservatories.

LTecigs
Cheep liquids available in zero nic

Great advice up here :) but if you need info on vendors we have our own little corner on the forum, scroll down to the UK bit and say hi :)

Thanks zeroclue.

Yes, there are lots of great vendor asking a fair price.

Mypack is often the cheapest.
Vape Escape is often considered the "best"
Cloud9 are one of the "best" and renowned for high quality and top-end (posh) gear.
UKecigcabin are a nice store with a good selection.
Vapeland sell "Vision" eGos and decent stuff.

A few quid here and there on an accessory wouldn't persuade me to shop at one over the other. I have

3 kits from Vape escape.
2 mods + 1 Spinner from UKecigcabin
Atomizers from Cloud9
2 "bundles" from myepack and 2 itaste devices.
