Finally ordered today and went with the mini to start with and then next going to order a pen style. Just have not decided which one.

I will let you all know my experience, as I am a heavy "burner-upper". Sit at computer in home office all day and burn up more than I smoke. But still smoke way too many and this is the first step for us, hubby and I, to start down the path to cutting back or even maybe quitting.

And to allow us to participate in some activities we are left out of.

When I told the neighborhood poker circle yesterday about what we were going to try, they were so excited for us, as we don't go to poker nights this time of year, it's too hot to play outside on deck, and they don't take smoke breaks.

LOL

They want our money too !

Thanks for all the good info.

Welcome,

Congrats on wanting to cut back or hopefully stop real cigs all together.

You may find that you get annoyed with the mini - the battery life doesn't last as long as the penstyle and the cartridges are used up a lot faster.

Don't get me wrong - several members love the mini (Mr. Darcy) - but as a heavy smoker - you might find the penstyle is more your style, at first.

Keep us posted on how you are doing when it arrives. By the way, which mini did you order?

Welcome to the forum bwood.

You will really appreciate the always ready to go aspect of the e-cig as it seems to me from what you've said, you tend to light-em, put-em down and they just burn away.

When you get your first device, you might like to try resting it in an ashtray so the process is much closer to what you are doing now with cigarettes, that will help your transistion to e-smoking ... just remember to put your lighter well out of reach, you don't want to absent mindedly light it !

Keep your charger and spare carts close at hand. When a battery goes flat, put it on to charge straight away, so you always have one ready to go.

I hope this works out as well for you as it has done for alot of us on here.
