Hello everyone. So I bought a starter kit and about 15 flavors from onestopdiyshop. I have been doing a lot of research and watching videos.

I understand that this is mostly trial and error if I am wanting to create a custom flavor, but what percentage should I start at? 10-15 like if I wanna make a blueberry and cream would I do like 7%cream and 3%blueberry? Or both 5%? How do I estimate which flavor to add more of? Just guess?

That place sells their own and other manufacturer's flavors. Which ones are you asking about?

(the onestopdiyshop website does provide percentage suggestions for their flavorings)

More blueberry less cream. Try 2% cream 4% blueberry and taste then let it sit a day then taste again and adjust if nessessary. Be aware that most blueberry flavoring I've tasted taste more like candy then fresh blueberrys. Also be aware that most mixes made with cream take a week or more of steeping to fully mature so don't be surprized if all you taste is strong blueberry for the first week. As the cream starts to come out the blueberry will start to mellow.

For single flavor recipe suggestions, many of your flavor percentages can be found in post 1405 here;

Would the same be if I wanted to mix Carmel and vanilla bean ice cream? Like 2% Carmel and 4% vanilla ice cream?

I suggest start by mixing single flavors first. After you've dial each flavor's % in to your tastes it will be much easier to combine them. Having each single flavor already mixed up will also allow you to experiment with them by adding several together in a bottle or even in your dripper.

So you are saying, if I want to make blueberry and cream:
Make blueberry and taste it, if good, add cream, taste it. Then go from there?

So I read the links and on the TFA thread:
Blueberry Flavor (Extra) 10-13%
Bavarian Cream Flavor 5%-15%

I just have blueberry, not extra. So if I wanted to make blueberry n cream, should I do like 10% bluberry and 5-10% cream?

Someone else in this thread said 2%cream and 4% blueberry. Thats only 6%? Why is there such a huge number difference between these recommendations?

I also wanted to make carmel and vanilla bean ice cream. I read one guys recipe and he did 24% vanilla bean and 12% caramel. Thats 36% of the entire mix, isn't that a lot?But on the TFA thread, its:
Caramel Flavor 10-15%
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream Flavor 4-8%

I understand everyone is difference, but these are huge differences in percentages....I am wanting to make a 50/50 VG/PG blend by the way.

I alsoam still a noob at diy. What I did to get the ball rolling was more or less pick a recipe that someone else had posted and that I had the flavors for. Then it is add a little more or a bit less or add this or delete that. 5ml batches are great fun. I have got blueberry cheesecake almost where I want it. After I have vaped about 1ml I add a few drops of what I want to try. If it is good then it wii be about 3% in next batch. I am to impatint to work each flavor up a step at a time so I mixed the single flavors at the recomended levels in the TFA flavors thread. If it says 10- 15% I just did 12. Now at least I have Ideas what I am working with. Iam thinking that diy is an exact science ruled by chaos and luck so I should fit right in!

Remember not all flavors are the same even if they are both blueberry so you are changing the recipe by not using what's recommended.

As I said I am still fidding around with it but here is the last batch I vaped. Since this one I pulled out the sour and replaced with cotton candy. It was good but should be better.Still steeping most recent attempt.
All TFA flavors
Blueberry extra 10%
Cheesecake 6%
Grahmcracker 2%
Caramel candy 2%
Sour 1%

If you experts have suggestions on how to improve my lungs are open.
