Alright, I have 36mg unflavoured VG from Vapables. I have 3ml of PA's Caramel and I'd like something that would be pretty strong. I don't really want a mix that'll produce 'a hint' of flavour.

Any suggestions for me?

I'd also just like to add the two together without having to mix in anything further..you know, I'm a newbie soooo K.I.S.S.!!!! :D

Thanks guys!!!!!!

What is PA Caramel? I think you mean FA = Flavour Art.

Anyways, I suggest that you start with a 5 ml batch of your DIY liquid. I assume that you don't want to vape at 36 mg/ml so you will need PG or VG.

In your 5 ml batch start with 2 or 3 drops of the caramel, add in 2.5 ml of the 36 mg nic and top up with 2.5 ml of PG or VG. Shake the crap out of it and vape!

The flavour of the caramel might not be apparent to start with so let the liquid rest for a while. Top up the batch with additional drops of Caramel until you get the flavour you want. Be careful though as the flavour will get stronger over time.

If you need PG or VG you can get them both from vapables. If you want to vape at 36 mg/ml then you don't need the PG/VG. In this case use 5 ml of the flavourless nic.

Thanks all!

Yes, PA does stand for Perfumer's Apprentice! Sorry about that!

I don't mind vaping at 36mg's so I'll do as you suggested and mix up a 5ml batch to start! I've also ordered,
Capella's root beer float
PA's Cotton Candy
FlavourArt's Cinnamon

I had just decided to use the caramel first! Does anyone have any recommendations/reviews for the other flavors I've ordered? (All should be here today!!)

Thanks AGAIN for everyone's help!!

If you like soft caramel candy, you may want to mix the caramel with the cotton candy. The cotton candy can be used as a sweetener whenever needed. The cinnamon would also be nice to add a little spice.

I haven't tried the root beer float.

I'm a big fan of PA and FA. You made some really good choices.

Thanks Deena!

I'll definitely try what you've suggested!

When I mix up some batches, I'll make sure to let you know what I think about them all and, if it helps anyone else, I'll keep track of how much I used!

Any recommendations re: amounts of flavors, percentages, etc. considering you've already tried them?

Alright guys, I've received my order!! (Yay!!)

Although, much to my disappointment, the caramel is more like maple! If you like Maple, then it's the flavor for you! Good and strong at a mere 10% too!

I'm currently giving the cotton candy a run for it's money. It's winning. I'm not ashmaed either.

Anyhoo, if anyone has some flavor they'd like to trade for the caramel, let me know! It's only a little 3ml bottle, but if you're only adding 5-10 at a time, I'd imagine it would hang out for a while...

Wow sorry to hear that, the carmel I got from PA is a true carmel flavor, like the Kraft chewey carmels. I'm suprised you got good flavor at 10% using a total VG base. I needed 20% to a 70% VG base. Try it again in the morning to give it a chance to totally homogenize. Oh well everyones taste buds are different. I've got some cotton candy coming from PA, I'll have to try it, I bought it just to sweeten other flavors.

... at 20% you probably be closer to caramel than maple syrup. Caramel is mixed at a ratio of between 20-25%. ... and to answer your original question a 3ml bottle will flavour 15mls of nic juice @ 20%

On the PA thread on the main DIY page most peeps are saying they are using 20%. Get Dan's calculator too. I got it last night and can't wait to use it.

Maple syrups are made mostly from caramelized sugar unless you go for real authentic (and expensive) maple syrup. Authentic caramel has more condensed milk and butter. PA's extract is more of a caramelized sugar flavor, which is definitely easier to create in water-based flavoring. That may be why you and your daughter feel it's maple-like rather than caramel-like. Upping the % probably won't change the taste much, but you could try it. I'd recommend you save it for future mixing as it goes great with some other flavors like chocolate or apple. Or if you order more flavors, PA is researching Waffles and you can use this as a hint of syrup!
