Just got the istick 30 watt with a Kanger sub tank mini. It's almost charged & I have the tank filled & ready to go. I've only ever used a Kanger Evod 2 & don't know what voltage or settings to put it on. I like a decent throat hit but don't care how big a cloud I get. Suggestions? I'm ready to fire this baby up!

The Kanger Subtank Mini is a good tank. You probably have the 0.5ohm & 1.2ohm pre-built factory coils(?). Try starting @ around 15W on the 0.5ohm coil and 12W on the 1.2ohm coil, but it's really all about personal preference...play around with it and you'll find your perfect setting in no time. Fire it up Sherry!

Firing up @ 15 in 3, 2, 1 ... Nice! Now that I have a starting point, I'll fool around with it. Huge improvement over the Evod. I have a tobacco flavor in it right now till I get used to it, then I'm gonna try out my flavored ones I got. What will be on the menu for tomorrow? Strawberry? Creamsicle? Chocolate? If juice was fattening, I'd be buying bigger pants!

congrats. istck 30w is one of their best, IMHO.
Start low and work upward.

I vape low voltage so starting at 20W would be way too high. I suggest starting at less than that for sure, esp. if you are coming off Evod 2, (which is the same as a Protank 3) and came with 1.5 ohm & 2.0 ohm dual coils.

I would start at 10watts-15watts

A helpful hint, Sherry.....In the future when wanting extra coils, you might like to try out the Aspire "Replacement" BVC's (NON Nautilus) that work perfectly in the Subtank mini.

Also, the ProTank 2 coils work in the STM (Subtank mini) as well. I can rebuild those horizontal coils with 30 g. Kanthal and cellucotton.

The OCC coils that come with the Subtank mini can be rebuilt. When the coil is "done for", get rid of coil and wick and save the housing for the future if you do get into rebuilding.

The RBA that comes with the Subtank mini is also an alternative to build on when you get ready.

Love the options for this tank! Have fun. :)

I do hope you let the coil get good and primed BEFORE you hit it!!!

LOVE my iStick 30 :)

Welcome to the "Jungle" :D

Start low and gradually go up till you get a satisfying vape.

If you have the horizontal coil the top wattage is 35. Watts.

If it has the vertical coil you can go higher.

I'm sure you probably have Already. But if you haven't, don't forget to Try different setting of the Airflow Control Ring on the Base of your Subtank Mini.

You can Dramatically Change the way the Hit Tastes by Increasing of Decreasing the amount of Airflow.

Good advice there from zoiDman - varying the draft really does make a great difference to both taste and vapour production IMHO and helps tailor your device to your personal needs and style of vaping.

Like a lot of folk I kicked off with the cig-a-likes went on to an ego pen type device but for me vaping really really became great when I got a Nautilus Mini with its variable air control.

Enjoy the journey!

A bonus of the Nautilus Mini is it had good flavor for a tank too!
