First timer using an EGO....

Ok just got it today. Did everything I have read about. Then dripped the juice in. Then proceeded to cough a lung up. My question is....is my nic level to high? Nice TH what I was looking for. Im very impressed with this thing. I can see how it will work for me to quit the stinkys. Im using 18mg.

You can also try not taking in such a lungful - did you inhale it into your mouth first then pause a tick and then inhale to lungs?
Vapor isn't treated the way cigarette smoke is as well - there's no 'comfort chemicals' in it so it can feel harsher on the throat. Make sure you DRINK MORE liquids as your body will need it.
18 mg might be too high - but Id give it a while to get used to it unless you're getting headaches or upset tummy or super dizziness with it; in which case it WOULD be too strong.

Thanks Capt. I have taken about 15-20 hits since then and lowered the intake which helped a little. I havent gotten any headaches or dizziness. So Ill keep it up and see what happens. Im going to try another juice I got to see if I like that better. Im still getting this awful taste. Maybe I still havent burned off the primer? One more thing I heard this loud pop and thought I blew the atomizer but it still is red. Does this happen every now and then?

Sounds like the complete opposite to the effect I got/ am getting from it. I still don't understand the whole throat hit thing, as I'm not getting any, whatever liquid I use on my eGo, it is an automatic battery type though...

Pretty much only the tingling on my tongue is the effect which tells me I'm getting any nicotine at all (using a 24mg VG liquid from ivapour-elixir right now).

And I still don't get the direct dripping thing as well, because all that happens is I get liquid in my mouth, it's quite annoying.

The only cart mod I've found to work is blue foam with a bit of polyfill on top, but it seems to suck out a lot of the taste from the vapour.

Hopefully a 7v device will change all that... still waiting for that package to arrive here...

You really can't hit these things like an analog or a joint. It's more like a pipe or a cigar. Pull it into you mouth first, then into you lungs. It's a learning experience.

Keep trying, it will work!

They don't recommend dripping w/ auto. bat. which could ruin it. May need to disassemble & wipe off & blow out to get liquid out.

Thanks for the tips. Pulling it like a cigar worked a lot better. Changed the juice to the strawberry I got and its a lot better. Maybe I need to get away from the tabocco flavor.

Nic. level for Full flavor cig. good start level is 18-24 mg.
& Lights half i.e. 12 mg or less.

The PV nic. absorb is slower than a cig.
You can still overdo it.

I have lived a fast life, think fast & will "pull the trigger" or some would say "roll the dice" in less than a heartbeat. Just because I have done something certainly does not in any way suggest you should try it!
I got 16mg. w/ the eGo & felt I was not getting enough nic. & got a cig. which gave me a good buzz. No headache, no warning.
Was 1pk/day full flavor menthol. Not Recommended.

I really like my eGo... when i use a Low Resistance Atomizer that is....

as far as TH is concerned... i have issues with TH when using a standard 510 atty.. unless i use that atty on my 5v PT...

I will say this: The only time i really got much of a TH out of a standard atty on my eGo.. was using 36mg juice.. but then i just ended up all dizzy and shaky.

I would recommend buying a "few" LR atty's and give them a try... I say order more than one for certain.. or your likely to be greatly happy followed by intense sadness.. so far im seeing that the life span on LR atty's are terribly short... and the learning curve on LR atties... can be expensive.


for whatever its worth.. im ording a 5v mod next week.. i LOVE my eGo w/ a LR atty.. but the life span of the LR atty isnt worth it to me.. so im going 5v mod

After smoking Marlboro Red analogs for 40 years, I received my first e-cig 4 days ago .. an eGo. I really had almost zero expectation that it would work well for me since I loved my analogs so much. Felt it was worth it to give it a "try" and then I would just add it to my list of things I "tried" to quit smoking analogs.

What a surprise it was for me .. my first "drag" was incredible and after a few more I knew I was going to never smoke another anlog again .. I was THAT satisfied.

The main reason I think it may have worked so well for me is because I read so many of the threads here on ECF before my eGo arrived. By the time my eGo arrived in the mail I felt I knew exactly what to do, how to slowly take in the vapor, how to inhale it etc ... it is done almost the opposite of how I inhaled my analogs.

I have been vaping for the past 4 days, have not wanted nor missed my analogs .. in fact have a stock pile of 10 cartons of Reds in a closet that I dont even think about nor want. Think I'll sell em!

I love my eGo and my e-liquids .. I did NOT like the liquid that came pre-filled in the carts in my kit but luckily I had ordered separate liquids when I ordered my kit and so I emptied out those "stock" pre-filled ones out and used the liquid that my supplier had mixed himself .. fantastic!

I got my kit and my liquids from Nicotine Nirvana and can NOT say enough fantastic things about their customer service and their e-liquids. I've used their Marlboro one that they make themselves, the Cool Lemonade and the Tiramisu .. great throat hit, great vapor, great taste! I ordered all of mine at 36mg because I felt I needed that strength to have any chance of coming close to an analog "experience". Everything GREAT happened for me right from my first eGo experience and I am THRILLED that I gave this a try.

As a side note I had also ordered e-liquids from another supplier and those arrived yesterday. I had assumed that all e-liquid suppliers would be the same .. seeing how my liquids from Nicotine Nirvana were so great. Mistake! The ones that arrived yesterday, from a different supplier, were a huge disappointment. So I will be sticking with Nicotine Nirvana from now on, as my liquid supplier .. a lesson learned for me.
