Got my DSE901 last Sunday, only because I had come back from a 4 day vacation and it was sitting in my mailbox. It would have been nice to get it before leaving, but at least analogs were only like $6/pack in Texas and I made it through.
It didn't take long to get used to it, and I'm definitely enjoying it. I had 6 analogs left over when I got it, those were gone on Wednesday, which is obviously a great pace. Now I'm entirely off analogs. It's definitely not the same, because when I had an analog after about 24 hours of vaping it was still way more enjoyable than a vape. Maybe my juice isn't strong enough, I'm switching between 11mg and 16mg, the 16mg has too much throat hit. All my juice is PG. Nonetheless, I've been off analogs for 2.5 days now and I'm doing fine.
Frequency: I started by vaping more than I smoked because the delivery seems slower, but after a little bit I got used to it and now I just take a few good vapes every 30 minutes or so, sometimes small ones in between. I'll switch it up to 16mg if I need more, but otherwise I'm ok.
Juices: I started with the carts that came with my DSE901, but those taste like ... so I filled one cart with mint (11mg) and another with mild seven (16mg). Again, tobacco flavor not as good as mint, but still better than the included carts. I did notice, however, that the tobacco flavors go better with beer, so at least I'll have some use for all this tobacco flavoring that I naively purchased. I quickly ordered some more flavors: mango, chocolate, caramel and cappuccino. Of those I've only tried caramel and mango. I only have two atomizers so I'm not too excited about switching flavors so frequently...I almost want to buy a bunch of atomizers just so I can rotate 4 or 5 flavors.
Physical: I had a sore throat for a couple days, some people were also posting about that this week. I started drinking more water and today I feel better. It may have been a combo of vaping and smoking because I had two analogs on Wednesday and my throat hurt Thursday and Friday. I'm good now, maybe because of cutting analogs entirely. Not a doctor.
Batteries and charging: I'm going to have to invest a bit more money in this area. Need a couple extra batteries, maybe extra USB charge, USB/AC converter, and a pass through. They hold a charge pretty well now that I've got my frequency under control, but they tend to die at inconvenient times.
Public acceptance: my boss is thrilled that I'm quitting smoking, he thinks that the PV is a pretty neat tool, and didn't say anything when he walked in my cube while I was vaping, he just smiled. He also likes that I don't need to waste time outside anymore. I keep it discreet though, no mammoth plumes of vapor there, just a deep intake and slow release so as not to blow vapor. Also I used it in starbucks the other day, discreetly, but the young staff behind the counter knew what I was doing because I heard them say something about it, not to me though, so I continued on with it.
All in all, I'm satisfied. I don't want to spend too much more money on this but I can see myself stocking up on more stuff...I'm already thinking about getting a joye 510 because at times the 901 is hard to pull through, and I have to blow through the atty. Oh good suggestion for this: use that canned air stuff for cleaning out keyboards, put the straw on the battery side of the atty and let er rip.
That's enough rambling for now, thanks for reading!
