This thread is rotting my brain. I just can't stop reading it but I really really want to. lol
If you think it's worth it, buy it.
If you're too stupid or lazy to find the best bang for your buck you deserve what you get.
Ignorance is a blissful state for most people. Let them be happy.
What's it worth to me may not be worth it to you. Doesn't make either of us wrong.
Can't we all just get along? :)

Lots of ignorance. But that is no surprise.
I didn't say Olive Garden was the epitome of high cuisine. I was stating what 5p is comparable to. Mediocre cuisine that is overpriced. Like it or not they are using the same flavorings as everyone else is.

And I'm not vaping a boba's clone because I want to imitate Boba's. The tweaked clone is far far better then Boba's Bounty is. In fact it is far and away the best vape I've had in the short time I have been vaping. Having tried HHV's Gandalf/Legend (Dragon's Fire was actually better. But still no comparison to DIY) , AVE (Boba's Bounty, Gorilla Juice) Backwoods Brew (Adirondack and Casablanca), and a few others including the much hated Hangsen and Dekang blends.
And to be fair to the poseurs. I will gladly ship you a 30ml bottle for only $149.65. That way you can be really smug. :2c:

Have you tried 5 pawns? You compare it to overpriced mediocre cuisine. That is far from the case, the flavors are rich and somewhat unusual, I don't know of any liquids that taste like gambit or grandmaster. I'm honestly glad you like your diy, but I do find it hard to believe that your mixes are better than bobas, gandolf or bwb. The f5'ing for bwb's ry4 and e-joker are legendary.

Having just filled my Gambit, Queenside, and Grandmaster Phiniac tanks, I sat back and enjoyed reading the last three pages of this post. I, too, am shocked that this is still a topic for discussion. Your favorite cookbook might be Betty Crocker (GREAT in all its glory and I do own several versions of it) but mine is Coco. I've been vaping for quite a while and now have my entire juice cupboard filled with just eight juices (three of which I combine to make my Djarum Black). My spending has decreased because I'm no longer looking for the taste/flavor I want. And, on the topic of packaging, I've said it before and I'll say it again, those little cardboard tubes that 5P ships their juice in are the perfect storage solution to keeping your juice free from light contamination. I've tried a lot of devices and juices and now I'm set to conquer all the rest this world has to offer.

Oh , the Irony... It Burns!

It is good to know that everyone uses real vanilla bean and steep their juice in oak barrels... They should publicize it more.

5 pawns just goes the extra mile. Glass bottle with a glass dripper, cool packaging, nice marketing, oak barrel steeping, etc. Its something to enjoy and also makes for a nice gift for somebody or to yourself.

Calling something overpriced is very subjective also.. Such as the bandwagon Apple haters. Is Apple overpriced? Obviously not, just look at their sales record..

I purchased the Grandmaster and Gambit last month. Grandmaster is one of the worst e-juice I've purchased. I just can't stand it. Too strong of a flavor and the smell is too much for me. Gambit on the other hand is more to my liking, though I rarely vape it because to me it's just an okay flavor. Along with my purchase they sent a free sample of Queenside which smells awesome and to me is a great flavor. I don't think the price is worth it though and will not purchase 5P again. At this moment I'm vaping Custard's Last Stand and to me that is one delicious-tasting liquid with a reasonable price tag. I'm waiting on Grant's Vanilla Custard purchased from Pink Mule, but they may be using Pony Express to deliver.

not entirely...

Then what would be your premise of stating it being overpriced? Market value? Personal income?

Business do not sell products through relative value, they sell through conceptual value. A market is not based off opinions. If wanting to state that product "x" is overpriced, an analysis can easily discern if that statement is true based off sales.

To me, an E-Juice selection is just a matter of preference. There are many different companies, flavors of juice, juice bottle sizes, a wide variety of prices per .ml(s), etc. Some folks only like the fruity flavors, some only the tobacco flavors, some the dessert flavors … some only enjoy the amount of vapor produced, PG vs. VG, throat hit …. Personal taste.

Much like there are many varieties of wines for example. All basically are made from the same ingredients, fermenting process varies from vender to vender. It all boils down to an individual’s personal taste.
There are wine drinkers, there are wino's, there are wine experts, enthusiasts, and wine collectors. Some will say the less expensive tastes better or the same, some will disagree. Some will say that the purchase price is “Over priced”, while another will find it “Reasonably” priced. Some people will spend $200.00 on a pair of sneakers without a blink on an eye. Because to them, it's worth it. It’s a matter of opinion and personal taste.

I enjoy some of the less expensive e-juice, and I also enjoy some that are a little more expensive. I also enjoy purchasing from one vendor, vs. another for the same flavor e-juice. In my opinion, I feel that this particular vendors' flavor, tastes better to me ... lol it's a vicious cycle.

Here is my first experience with Five Pawn. I read the reviews, ingredient list, went to their website and checked the flavors, and checked the prices. First impressions were, hmm… interesting; but I was not quite sure that I wanted to buy. I sent the company an e-mail asking basic questions, like what makes your juice stand out over all of the others out there? (something along those lines…) low and behold –
3 days later I get a sample in the mail! Wow, what a nice company I thought. I tried it, I liked it. Purchased the “Castle Long Reserve.”

Castle Long Reserve - Oaky, toasty, mildly sweet holiday spices, creamy smooth vanilla hints, with other notes I can't quite identify, enveloped with a mild Bourbon undertone. A full bodied, and rich flavor.
Layers of flavors in this juice somehow work together. It's hard to describe. Then again, this is just my personal experience with this particular Juice. Will I purchase the Castle Long Reserve from Five Pawns again? Yes I will.
I have also tried the Five Pawn sample pack; three out of the five flavors I enjoyed, the other two were decent, but not flavors that I particularly care for, as I am not a big fan of the citrus, or banana flavor in and e-juice. Would I purchase the three flavors that I enjoyed out of the sample pack? I don't know just yet, but most likely I will.

You know that there are some vendors that make their own flavorings and do their own extractions, right? As for Five Pawns, I'd love to see the ingredients list you have for their juices since you know exactly what's in them.

And to be fair to the poseurs. I will gladly ship you a 30ml bottle for only $149.65. That way you can be really smug. :2c:

I'm not sure why you're being so argumentative about this. Accusing people of being ignorant, calling them poseurs, and calling them smug isn't the best way to be taken seriously.

After 26 pages and 257 post, I've learned the following:

-Price point seems to be a big part of some vapers experience when picking a juice

- Taste is still very objective

-A sample pack of any juice should be purchased before making any general assumptions about a juice untasted by your own taste buds

- I'm even more convinced now than ever that home cooked meals, no matter how late at night are the best way to dine....in or out.

Now the Apple hate is COMPLETELY justified!!
