I'm not by any means supporting 5 Pawns, but, I don't get this statement. Yes, the bases are pg/vg. But, it's the additives/flavorings that make the juice, right? And those vary broadly across vendors, I am told, and I can tell the difference in the same flavor of one vendor as compared to another. Something is different that makes one juice better, much better in some cases. You are also paying for skill, the skill to create those juices in such a way as to make a juice that provides a great vaping experience. It is the packaging too that contributes to that experience. All these are you paying for. Maybe their juice isn't that great, I don't know, but if you make a cherry juice from cherry syrup it's going to be totally different than real fruit cherry extraction juice. That takes time, and equipment, and the facilities to do it, and a mixologist who knows what they are doing. So you pay.

Well said flowerpots! My thoughts exactly.

I believe part of what makes an eliquid company great is the passionate person/persons behind it.

I am the same. These companies are the ones that have my repeat and devoted business.

Simple fact is advertising is expensive and they have spared no cost in doing it.
It's a niche end of the market and they are being successful in it.

Exactly, they are targeting a specific market. Just like many well-known brands out there, they are appealing to a specific audience. They are using what some would consider lack of integrity in marketing methods and tactics. I don't agree with them, but I know their target audience exists.

I understand people preferring a vendor who has passion for their craft and product, who operates with no deceit or guile. I am the same way. But, I know others will want the Gucci of juices and so there will be a niche for them. I'm okay with that. I just know I'm not their target lol

EDIT ~

I am not implying 5 Pawns lacks integrity, I simply don't know. I just see their marketing strategy for what it is and know it's what most if not all other companies do.

Bottom line .. if 5 Pawns strategy and pricing don't work, they will fail .. simple as that .. the market always always separates the worthwhile and the worthless ..

Myself, I wish then success .. they are no different than mod companies that charge high prices .. and I don't see a thread ripping them up ..

I figure 30ml is probably the equivalent of 2 cartons of cigarettes for me, if I still smoked and if I didn't stuff my own when I did. Sounds pretty cheap.

This is an important point to consider. With the FDA's losses, and the e-juices growth in acceptance by society and politically... Why should we not expect ecigs to replace cigarettes thoroughly? If tobacco is wiped out, and ecigs are there to replace, why wouldn't the prices reflect that?

If nic is regulated and taxed, we may see $38.00 as a common price for 30ml .. who knows .. ?

As the great and powerful Pbusardo once said..... "Taste is subjective"

I will say this, I have tried the sample pack from 5P, I like the Gambit, not as an ADV but as a treat. It does come pre-steeped. However for my ADV, I will say try The Vapor Chef. Great prices/great flavor. I don't know if I'm going to venture out and try the Castle Oak. But I will continue to purchase the Gambit as a treat. My wife loves gambit, she only vapes at night and rarely at that. She won't vape anything else. That's all

btw, I do believe shipping is figured into the cost of 5P, not that it amounts to much, but just sayin'

TT69 OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So i found a local B&M in my area that carries 5p I figured I would look on ECF to see what people are saying about it, found this thread, and I guess people are saying a lot! I want to try their juices, so far I haven't really tried a ton of juice from a ton of vendors but their descriptions sound interesting and the sampler pack from their site isn't too expensive for my budget.

I'm fine paying more for a quality juice, or even just a juice that I like, I don't care what a retail charges as long as they back it up with good quality. The price will just depend on how much more I buy after the initial purchase. Always willing to try something once :)

We'll see I have a few orders coming in this week for Pluid, MtB, and HHV I guess I can compare it to them.

Quality juice

$38 for a 30mL bottle of juice? Along the lines of a $25 Long Island Iced Tea at a nightclub--but without the music, the building, the light show and short skirts.

Sorry, I'm not into pre-mixed juice--I know what is inside and prefer to mix my own USP certified/safe for Passover kosher custom blend and throw it in a needle bottle. The $37 I just saved allows for more beer, more steaks on the smoker grill and custom bar drinks where actually matters to age them in oak barrels.

What's next? Custom wound EVOD replacement heads with 99.999% pure Kanthal wire, pre-heated with organic methane then hand wrapped by virgins around premium silica wick blessed by the pope? $65.95 each...hurry, supplies are limited!

I tried 5P Castle Long for the first time, and in fact it was also the first time I ever heard of it. I was familiar with the other 5P flavors, I liked one of them, the rest I didn't care for too much. I also knew they were the most expensive juice, but this time there was a wooden barrel on the promotional counter, I actually thought it was a joke, but it turns out the juice is, in fact, stored in there. Price was $38 / 30ml bottle, as discussed in the thread.

Taste? I thought it's a nice, sweet juice. Complex, very flavorful, it's really a delightful taste. I would buy a bottle, but I'm the type that thinks about the other things I can purchase with $38. I'm not easily swayed by the fancy packaging, God knows I have fallen for that too many times in my youth, only to be often disappointed. I also find the juice in the barrel a bit comical, but I could be wrong, maybe it will positively affect the taste. I just don't see that happening like it does in wine.

I guess it's a nice present to give a special vaper in your life, I sure as heck would love to be gifted a bottle of this, but I just can't buy it myself. I have too much brain activity going on to push through with the purchase. It's a delicious juice, but the taste is not as unique as the price... I.M.O.

Well last saturday I picked up Grand master, and I tried it, its good, but not a all day vape. mabe if they can come up with something, at a reasonable price that will not clog up my coils, I might consider them a bit more. My local vaper shop, is going to be getting, the new flavor soon, but I wont get it. If they just make a blueberry, grape. peach, or even apple, without all the extra flavors, I would try them.
